Always ordered the $5 big bowl and given the small bowl $4 quantity. 不良商家! The pork and fish is very tough.

next generation owners of the original uncle who passed on. in the midst of the pandemic, $4-5 a bowl is hard to get by. want to encourage them and to people who read this to support them. they have the old favorites like braised pork, prawn fingers and fried bits. i'm sorry i took a photo of the aftermath ? but it's good, if it was slightly thicker and more eggy it would be a bigger ??

One of the best lor mee I have tried. Yellow noodles were cooked perfectly without lye water smell and loaded with sides. Their prawn stick and ngoh hiang are filled with solid ingredients, not just flour. Pork belly was so tender that it melts in your mouth. Had this as take away and it still tastes really good even though after reheat. Stall owner was very accommodating too, I brought my own stainless steel tiffin and he was very patient in packing the food nicely and wiped clean before return to me.

First try of this stall, ever since the old lor mee no longer operate on this coffee shop. It is a holiday and there isn’t any queue? I always give benefit of the doubt. The condiments are controlled, the guy doesn’t allow the customers to self-service, either due to Covig or saving cost? Didn’t quite like that kind of style. Noodles are cooked just right. Sauces are generally normal, not much wow factor. Too much flour with the deep fried sides. Only consolation, there’s Taco & it is good. Surprisingly no egg? $4 is way above average to me.

Wow... I must say their gravy really got substance! I ordered a regular $4, comes with braised pork, fish, egg and crispy bits. Overall, yummy and very shiok meal! Ordered takeaway packs for my family, the boss was kind to pack gravy separately as I told him my family would be eating later. Haha finally found my favourite lor mee!

Went there at 9.45am on a weekday anticipating a queue but I was the only one queuing! Yay! The Lor Mee sauce is thicker than others and it serves shredded fried fish (which unfortunately I don’t like as I prefer fried fish nuggets) with pork (lu rou) and fried bits. Unfortunately it’s not to my taste as I prefer less thick sauce but that’s my personal preference ?

The mantle of the original Bukit Purmei Lor Mee stall was always a hard one to live up to. The nephew learnt the recipe from the uncle who operated the original Bukit Purmei Lor Mee and opened an outlet at Queen Street but it was not good. Another group of hawkers decided to set up shop at the same coffeeshop where the original Bukit Purmei Lor Mee was last at more than 6 years ago. Initially F.E.D Lor Mee had a recipe that was close to what the original Bukit Purmei Lor Mee served. Yes, a few mistakes in terms of ingredients they tried switching to but generally the flavour was there and the crowds were coming. They even had queues forming. Alas, they have been taking in feedback from God knows who and now the Lor Mee is just starchy and not yummy, while the crispies taste stale and not crispy. Sigh, so much promise and customers initially, now a stall with nary a customer in sight. General Verdict: A promising stall that tweaked its Lor Mee recipe too much according to feedback from customers that now it is flailing and flatlining Opening Hours: Daily 7:30AM-8pm (Closed on Fridays) Price: SG$4/SG$5 (Regular/Large) Payment Mode: Cash only Item Ordered: 1) Item: Lor Mee (Large Serving) Description: Starchy and no fragrance, Crispies were not crispy Verdict: Acceptable, Order only if you want to try Price: SG$5

Lor Mee. There is a new lor mee brand in town and they have rapidly expanded to 4 outlets! Run by 3 siblings of an old Havelock Road Lor Mee, their recreation of the lor mee with more shiok ingredients, e.g., handmade prawn stick with yam is worth the visit.
