Fei Siong

Located just outside the Simei Community Club (within the CC compound). Have been patronising Fei Siong Coffeeshop for the past 10 over years, tze-char stall there does provide a good variety of dishes with reasonably priced for selection. There is also a minced pork noodles stall next to the drinks stall. Natural air ventilation at this place is great. Super high ceilings. Sufficient parking space. BTW, do not expect restaurant standard of service. It's just a neighborhood coffee shop conveniently located within the CC compound, those who attend social activities at the CC surely love it.

Noodle stall: their bak chor mee & laksa are ones of the best in Simei. The noodle is al-dente and the ingredients are quite generous. The taste is delicious but maybe it is quite too strong for someone who don't like vinegar. The laksa is above average though still below Qi Ji. Drink stall: the coffee & tea are above average but the old auntie is not a friendly one and challenging server. Tze char: the foods are good and delicious though you need to be more attentive if you take away. I like their tofu dishes, hong kong fried noodles and fried chicken.

One of the best neighborhood local Tze Char style. From the crowd you’ll know how popular this cafe shop is. Diners just drive all the way here to order Tze Char. If you visit after 6pm, it normal to wait half a hour to get your dishes. So better visit Super early or Super later. Cereal prawns is one of the best must try local dish. It’s also famous in Jumbo in tourist guide. The tiger prawn is big. Cereal is mixed with sugar and salt. The flavor is delectable for different ages. Salted egg prawn is stunning. Actually all salted egg flavor dishes are awesome. The salty flavor is mixed with oily egg yolk which make diners keep salivating and sucking. Tofu dishes are generally good. Minced tofu, sizzling tofu and homemade tofu are all nice to order. This cafe shop can be daily canteen. Google is much better than TA. This rest doesn’t have in TripAdvisor.

Food is not bad, I did come here a few times. The only problem is the staff attitude. They can be quite rude especially the one that collects the money at the cashier (oldest lady). Probably the business is too good, they can't be bothered with basic courtesy. Other than that the food is ok.

The specialty of this stall is adding “hum” (cockles) in the dry noodle, really transforming it into extraordinary taste.

Fishball noodle stall: The portion is very generous. Laska always sold out by noon.. for dry noodles, unless you like alot of black vingear else better to ask for slightly lesser. Beverage: depending who making the tea and coffee Tze Char: Har cheong kai is one of the better ones i had. I actually prefer their claypot noodles to hokkien noodles as there are more veggies for a dollar more.

One of the better minced pork noodle stall I will come all the way down to patronize. I always ordered more ketchup and vinegar to my liking. As you can see from the photo there is plenty of sauce which makes the noodle flavourful unlike others I have tried which is too "dry". Noodle texture is just right as well. The braised mushroom is also very tasty! Their laksa is also good! Recommended to give it a try when you are in the area!

Very crowded Zhi Char stall in Changi Simei Community Club. Waited for a while for the dishes to be served. The food is delicious but the places is very hot and humid. For the same price, we can easily get the same dishes in other air con places actually.
