โ โ โ โ โ One of my favourite places to buy groceries and water bottles. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Not so crowded and you can find almost all the grocery items there.

โ โ โ โ โ It is in the People's Park Centre.The place is not very big but it sells many differrent food items.Ranging fromChocolates,Sweets,Dried Chinese tea leafs,coffees,special healthy strain of rice,biscuits,cake rolls,dried fruit products, can soft drinks and many more items.This is the only kind of shop in the shopping centre.The prices ranges from cheap to modarate.The place is easy to get to as the mrt station is very near and public buses stops on the main roads just infront of the shopping centre.Parking is within the shopping centre.

โ โ โ โ โ Back in the 1970s, the place is occupied by another emporium/supermarket called ๅคงๆ็พ่ดง. There were, back then, perhaps the only place in Singapore to stock Taiwan food stuff.
My parents were Taiwan immigrants in the 1960s and together with fellow immigrants/expats, that was the place to go for a taste of home.
Sadly, ๅคงๆ็พ่ดง business slumped as the years went by and last I heard, they have been reduced to just a food importer.
Today, First Emporium & Supermarket takes over the premises, albeit much smaller than the hey days but we are still very blessed to continue to have Taiwan food stuff on the shelves.

โ โ โ โ โ The place might look like a jumble sale but then this is the sort of place I was looking for. There is many a bargain to be had in a place like this. I couldn't fault the service. Very polite and courteous staff.

โ โ โ โ โ Times have changed due to more competition but prices of products aren't the cheapest. Its already year 202x and not 200x. The only good thing is I can find most of my cooking ingredients here under one roof. That being said, you are paying the price markup for this convenience unless you specifically know where to get these items individually and cheaper by at least 20% elsewhere.
