Coach Jake and Nan Feng are both very attentive and specific to help achieving my goals to my fitness level that I wanted. My cores are stronger, muscles more toned up and I am able to lift some weights now which I can't last time due to my backache n hip issues. Joined Compound Workout slightly more than a year ago. Great coaches, great workout and great team spirit. They provide a good mix of cardiovascular, strength and core exercises. Coach Jake and Nanfeng are patient, motivating and they always push us beyond what we think our limits are. They prioritize form to ensure that we do not injure ourselves and work out the correct muscles. The online sessions established after the covid outbreak are also as effective as the ones we did face to face. I truly enjoyed every single session. Kudos to the coaches and will definitely recommend joining them for a good and fruitful workout.

Was introduced to Coaches Nan Feng and Jake of CW earlier this year and managed to join their online sessions during the circuit breaker period. Their workout sessions were well planned out and catered to different physical levels. Moreover, they made sure to track our individual progress so they could better personalize and recommend the number of sets for each segment so as to facilitate growth. During the sessions itself, both coaches were very encouraging and made sure we were guided along properly. Throughout the workout, they would constantly check on our form and correct us when needed. Aside from building strength and stamina, they also worked on our mobility and flexibility. I definitely felt stronger in all aspects after each workout session with them! Both Coach Jake and Coach Nan Feng are dedicated and will genuinely care for your growth if you’re under their wings!

Jake is an amazing trainer as well as a great person. He is very knowledgeable, supportive and motivating and is up to date with the latest fitness vogues and philosophy. He has been training me for two and a half years and I now look and feel stronger and healthier. He is flexible when it comes to my crazy work schedule and makes sure to always fit me in. He varies our workouts so I never get bored. He is encouraging and pushes me to practice hard and smart. I originally came to Jake to improve my overall fitness and energy levels so that I can translate that into my work environment. He is accommodating to my needs and the comfort level I have with him is high because of his personality as well as his professionalism. He pays particular attention to detail and technique, which always pleases me as a surgeon. I look forward to continued success with Jake. Thank you so much.

CW is such a fun and welcoming fitness community. Sure, you can workout at home or by yourself at the gym, but it's not the same as having coaches like Nan Feng and Jake look out for you, correct your movements and posture, and motivate you when the workouts get challenging as the set progresses. Other participants will also look out for you and motivate you along the way, so you're never alone or left behind! I always walk away from each session feeling like I've accomplished something great for myself and that puts me in a good mood for the rest of the day.

I have been with Compound Workout more than 2 years and I can confidently say that I have benefited a lot from this journey. I am always functionally fit which can be felt whenever I need to carry heavy things or even run for the bus. I even managed to achieve Silver in my IPPT even though I have gained quite a bit of weight after my NS. I have also experienced the camaraderie of like-minded people who constantly pushes each other to become a better version of ourselves. We even took part in a spartan race together and it was something that I would have never thought of doing if not for them. The vibe and atmosphere during each workout or meetup is something I always appreciate and look forward to. Every workout is meticulously planned with the thought of making sure you are all rounded in terms of strength and agility. Even until today, there are new forms of workout which surprises me and causes me to ache in body parts I didn't know could be trained. Even after having to move some workout to online sessions due to the covid situation, the coaches remains professional and unfazed in making sure we still get the most out of every online workout and remain functionally fit. Kudos to Coach Jake and Nanfeng and keep up the good work!

I have been training with Jake for over 2 years now. When I started compound workout it took me a while to get my head around it to understand its true value. I understood it much better when facts from body stats confirmed astounding results. I lost 6% body fat in 3 months, the same that I lost working out at the gym for over 9 months! Each compound workout with Jake was a max of 30 minutes, while at the gym I worked out for at least 45 to 60 minutes. In the next 6 months I learnt to build lazy workouts (sets that I do on days I do not feel motivated), brainless workouts (sets that I do on days when I want to work out but I do not want to think too hard) and progressive workouts (Sets that I think I need to change, because I do not want to stagnate) I have learnt way lot more about what food suits my body, which means I can eat a lot more stuff I like and I know how to shed that quick! Thank you Jake for adding 10 years to my life, not a lot of doctors can do that without cutting you up!

I’ve been training with Compound Workout since Oct 2018. My initial goals were to reduce bodyfat, gain muscle, and to develop an exercise and nutrition plan that was sustainable in the long run. After assessing my fitness level in my first session, Coach Jake added flexibility and stamina as important areas of focus for me. In just 8 months, Compound Workout helped me achieve everything I set out to in terms of bodyfat reduction and muscle gain. The workout and nutrition advice have helped me maintain (and improve) that level of fitness, and I feel confident that it is sustainable for the long haul. As an actor, my job requires me to change my body composition for different roles - I might have to lose weight, or gain muscle, or increase flexibility and range of motion. Whatever the challenge, Compound Workout has helped me achieve it, without crash diets or artificial supplements, in a safe, incremental way. More than 2 years down the road, I have continued to make progress in flexibility and stamina, and at 41 years old, I am the strongest and healthiest I have ever been. Best of all, Coach Jake is unfailingly friendly, positive, and non-judgmental. He never shames you for falling short of expectations – yours or his. He is patient, encouraging, and on your side. I cannot recommend him and Compound Workout highly enough!
