Underwhelming is the word to remember when patronising this place. They couldn’t even get the most basic thing like milk tea right, it tasted like syrup water. The recommended pork sandwiches are a little too salty and overrated. Given its price, you get more bang for buck at Toast Box or Ya kun. Not sure how people rate 4-5 stars for food more expensive and taste worse than your average hawker.

Not bad for breakfast. Sandwich breads were a little on the soft and fluffy side. Simple combination of egg and ham/cheese/floss etc. are available. For who don't want tea/coffee, milk is available.

Came here for afternoon tea. The hot tea was soothing and milky. This is my first time having peanut butter bread this way-2 layers of bread buttered with ghee/margarine and lots of sugared crushed peanuts on top. Love the interior!

1st time trying out this cafe the toast bread with ham and cheese set with coffee C kosong $7.20. Extra coffee at $1.90 Toast is crisp on the surface and soft inside. Coupled with the ham and cheese, I enjoyed eating. A coffee is served in a small cup and it thick with mild acidic. Pricing is a bit of the high side. Small place and it get filled up fast during peak hours.

Finally got to try the much raved about Fong Sheng Hao 豐盛號 at Nex outlet. They are a Taiwanese Toast Cafe which originated from Taipei’s Shilin Night Market 士林夜市. Setup and design of the cafe has the Taiwan vibes - very well done decor, lighting and seat arrangements too. Tried their signature Pork Egg & Cheese ($6.30) toast with the Signature Milk Tea (additional $3.30). The patty was pretty tender but thought it could be slightly thicker. Butter, cheese and egg flavour and taste was much stronger than the pork. But have to mention how good the egg was as well - cooked for the right amount duration to create a soft texture. Fong Sheng Hao’s signature milk bread is pretty satisfying too. Slightly charred and crispy but soft in the centre. Heard they use low-fat content as well for this. The Milk tea was quite original, not too sweet and with a just nice portion. It is served cold and goes very well with the toast :) Service was also very fast and efficient. Overall good experience and will come by again!

We had passed this place many times and usually after we had our meal. So eventually we decide that we should pay this quaint Taiwanese inspired toast café a visit on a weekend morning. When we arrived, there was already queue at about 10:30am. However, as the groups in front were larger, we managed to be seated within 5 minutes of waiting. The menu was simple with a variety of toasts and some popular Taiwanese street snacks like braised pork rice. After deciding on our order, we placed our order at the counter and were given our beverages and a pager. While shuttling between my seat and the counter, I could see all the buzz and activities in the open kitchen. The kitchen was well-staffed with about 5-6 people and the atmosphere was energetic. However, we had to wait quite a while for us to be paged to pick up our food order. We had been sipping away at our coffee for 15 minutes before we got the page. We order the Pork and Egg Cheese toast and Spicy Pork and Egg Cheese toast. We agreed that the spicy one was the better choice as the non-spicy was a little bland. The prices are a little on the high side with the toasts costing $8 each. The coffee with milk was great though. I don’t think we would be craving the food here any time soon. The ham and egg toast came with very little filling for that price they charged. The 卤肉饭 was so so fatty and to the sweet side. The 盐酥鸡 rice some of the chicken pieces have a stinky smell chicken never bath. The hot drinks was really small cup wonder is it serve in different sizes for set . Overall a little pricey and food neither impressive in portion or taste.
