Giant Express - Marine Terrace - 56 Marine Terrace

Every time I shop here, the queue is dreadfully long but the store never seems to want to maximise their checkout counters. Even the self checkout counters are OFF especially when there is a crowd ! Why did Giant install self checkouts if the store never want to utilise it ? Are the cashier afraid that their job would be replaced if both machines are ON for customer to checkout smoothly ? Or was the installation of self check out counters for the purpose of boasting store operation KPI? To make things more stressful, each time I self check out 3 Mangoes or a kilo of prawns or merchandise that require weighing, I have to call upon these cashiers again to help while they are already busy serving the queue customers. Can’t Giant make the self check out machine more intelligent? Or at least attach a weighing machine to the scanner so that a self checkout machine totally enables the customer to checkout independently in a swift manner ! Merchandise in this store was packed so closely like sardine and when queues occupy the aisle there is totally no social distancing measures that one could practice for individual safety!

Should topup more laundry detergent like the soap powder, jeypine, condensed milk milkmaid ,always most of the items out of stock.

A 24 hours minimart or small supermarket that serves the small neighbourhood of Marine Terrace. Goods are not comprehensive and a lot but the basic varieties are there. Can't expect to buy certain goods like organic food or certain brands for more choices or price comparison, they only sell the general brands, due to the limited space constraint. Very narrow space along the corridor for the crowd to pass through and let alone any social distancing, as goods are placed along the corridor, so customers may stop to look at the goods and caused jam on the crowd.

Convenient as 24 hours, perhaps need a corner to bring in promotion/ new items.

Small supermarket with all the daily Groceries needed. Very convinent.

8pm, no more halal chicken cutlet left in the chiller. Only prawn. Very narrow place and not so much variety to buy. Frustrated for every visit. Maybe due to so many hdb block nearby with hungry people.

Very tight and squeezy store. You often have to squeeze with other customers and staff when browsing items. Seems to be severely understaffed as well. There is often only one cashier attending to customers resulting in extremely long queues even during non-peak hours.

Always short of basic groceries. Milk to veggies , cheese to fruits . Every time i go there to buy , there is always something which is out of stock?. Please make at least the basic dairy products and vegetables n fruits available
