Goodman Ceramic Studio

Mostly offices with Mayer and another plants shop worth visiting. They have a fountain of Koi fishes on the top level worth taking a look though. Canteen was closed for renovation hence, no food and drinks are available within the Centre itself.

Had our team unravel their creativity at the wheels with Hazel teaching us in the studio! Was great fun, music, people and doggie Gucci joined us as well ? slightly warm interiors but didn’t melt our enthusiasm at all! We will be back month later to paint the works, looking forward!

Went for trial throwing class at $68/pax, 1.5hr session. We went on a Friday at 1pm, and it looked like the group before us was a pretty big group. Ours was a cosy group of 4 and the instructor patiently taught us step by step on how things were done. She started off first by introducing to us the different types of clay and the one we were working with. She would then teach us a few steps at a time, and give us time to work on our piece thereafter. She sat between us and helped us when our pieces turned wonky. The wheels were easy to use and the space was adequate. Overall a good experience. We made 3 items each and were allpwed to take home 1 piece FOC after firing. The rest you can decide to discard or go on to glaze at an extra but affordable cost of $10 per piece. Felt like one of those wedding packages where they take a hundred shots and give you 5 free though ? Otherwise i thoroughly enjoyed my experience there and the instructor was patient and taught well.

I enjoy creating something out of clay. It's therapeutic and actually quite relaxing. But the teacher, a very old guy like in his 70s. So be prepared to be taught by a old dude grand master. Good and bad. Good part is he is damn experienced. Bad part is he abit slow and most probably he will forget your progress until which part.

We have gotten a package for our pottery, and I enjoyed myself with the trial throwing class. For the package, they allows you to make 3 designs each, and you have to choose 2 to be brought home (firing only). So firing is for non-food ceramic designs, while glazing is for ceramic design that are able to be consumed on it. And glazing cost additional $10 per design. However, due to some miscommunication with the receptionist, as we thought the glazing is inclusive of the package, the receptionist actually threw away 2 other designs which we might be able to bring a nicer home homed ?? But overall, good experience, rating 4/5 due to that incident. IG: @HeyLazeTiff

Been a studio access user for less than a year and it’s just my special place to be at! People are so friendly and helpful, wide range of materials to use, quick firing of products! Absolutely can’t wait for the spanking new studio !

Nice studio but super expensive. Bill for 4 pax easily shots up beyond $350 per visit and you have to come at least twice to get a finished result
