If you think this is gold standard for MHK, you obviously haven’t tried Top 1 at Beauty World. Tried the dry version today because of the rave reviews and left disappointed. Texture of the MHK is good but the sauce is too sweet and portion is too small, taste of chilli is almost non-existent. The small bowl of soup tasted like msg-laden wanton soup. Honestly, nothing to rave about.

Authentic mee hoon kwey! Have ordered both the dry and original soup base to try out! I have to say having seeing so many good reviews i have set a higher bar for this time round LOL For the price and good food they offered, have given a 4-stars only due to limited seatings and food needs a longer time to be served. Cheers!

Had been eating ever since I was 23. But was disappointed as the taste and quality no more. Mee Hoon Kuen was my all time favourite, but the prawn is gone, handmade meat ball also no more, the soup base not as sweet as before.

Finally understand the hype. Went there when it was about to closed, around 7.30pm. Tried the pork liver meehoonkueh, the kueh was qq and loved the generous amount of pork liver. Will come back again!

Came to try on a quiet weekday afternoon just before their break time. (I think it is from 3 to 330pm?) We ordered the famous dry mee hoon kueh to try. They got our order mix up, I thought was only us but they kept forgetting the order for other tables also despite not being crowded? The kueh itself taste homemade and not bad. Sauces was okay only. But if you are a big eater, definitely not full. We ordered 1 pork bar chor and 1 fish. Bill was $11. This is more of a afternoon snack?? I still wasn't full after eating as a girl. They also sell other food but we did not try. They also have a small room beside them that u can sit in.

overrated mhk, came ard 2:30pm so not many people. tried the fried mhk and dry mhk, $11.50 for both, pretty overpriced to start with. Not much topping for the dry one, have to pay extra to add egg, tastes very one dimensional and the mhk doesnt rlly absorb the sauce. the small bowl of soup tasted like msg soup lol. friend mhk tasted like ckt, not bad pretty wok hey. Overall, overrated, got abit sick of it after eating half bowl.

The Mee Hoon Kueh itself had the best texture - chewy but yet not doughy. The herbal soup version tasted good while the dry version was too sweet for my liking. For the price ($5-6), it is quite expensive for such small bowls with meagre ingredients. Furthermore, there is an 10% increase in prices for dine-in.

Store is famous for their Mee Hoon Kway (MHK), which are hand torn flour noodles.? Queue for a seat is there when we went on a Friday 1pm. Moves pretty fast and the auntie will call out your queue number. 3 groups ahead of us and we got a seat in 10 mins. Added $2.90 for a Set w the mains . Can choose a drink of barley and a side of Fried Rice Cake or Shrimp Cake. We all loved the Fried rice cake (年糕) 3 layered w nian gao, yam and swet potato!! So good we ordered takeout for that too. ? Minced Meat MHK ($5.5) the original version is very simple and heartwarming. Veg used are Manis veg which is very Malaysian β™‘ lots of work goes into handling these veg and they gave pretty generous portions of this. Soup is lightly flavoured by the ikan billis stock and minced meat. I rate: 4/5 ? ? Herbal MHK ($6.8) was pretty okay. Tastes very herbal like those double boiled soup. Healing to the soul but probably gonna order only when I feel I need some energy. I rate: 3.5/5 ? ? Had the fried MHK ($6) and it looks and tastes very much like Penang Fried Kway Teow. Freaking amazing and very shook by the flavours and how well it works. Bean sprouts was a refreshing touch. But tad too oily for my pref. I rate: 5/5 ?
