Good spot. Two floors of boulder walls and one level of rock walls. Counter staff was attentive and helpful. Routes were great and really challenges most. Route grading wasn't fantastic though, you had to keep going back to one main board to check the grading of each route, was pretty frustrating.

There is serious room for improvement. The quality of this gym has dropped. I know these are hard times, but our recent visit was a colossal disappointment. Our family has coming here together numerous times over the last 4-5 years. Our most recent visit, we used their pre-booking service (create an acc, buy a pass, book a session). *Creating an acc and booking service via gym master for each child and adult was an initial barrier. Now, you can either select for the "top rope/ninja course" access or bouldering wall access for 2 hrs. Which is already disappointing because the 2 hr limit (due to covid) already trims the amount of time you can spend at the gym. The additional disappointment of only accessing one or the other forces us to choose which we prefer. We choose top rope/ninja course access instead of bouldering because we thought it would be a better bargain! However, when we got there, there was no such access to the ninja course as the ninja course was completely under construction and inaccessible. Which is a clear discrepancy from what was presented online. Not to mention, while we were using the indoor top rope (almost all lanes are auto-belay), there was constant construction screeching noises. Not to mention, there was one staff at the desk and he seemed to have no idea what was going on. RE - the routes - The indoor top rope routes are decently set. A good mix of challenging but would recommend other gyms for overall experience. This experience was entirely too-bad. We looked forward to our family visit. But likely will not be going back. Hope Ground Up can make some improvements for future visitors/climbers!!!

Very rude manager... Unflexible staff. I've been climbing for the last 12 years in Singapore, when this place was Climb Asia. It is disappointing to see such how the climbing gym "business" scene has changed. I will never go here again. Especially with all the offers on climbing in Singapore

Came for bouldering, the front desk young man was very polite and helpful. Not the most well-equipped gym, and may be alittle pricy, similar as said by other reviews. But bouldering/climbing isnt a very cheap sport in Singapore to begin with. Bouldering section can be alittle small, and im lucky i went during off-peak and it was super quiet. Toilets were equipped and clean, i didnt bathe but i wouldnt have minded washing up. All in all, you could prolly find a more well-equipped and spacious gym for the same price, but i still had a pleasant experience with the good service.

Very disappointed with how this place have became. Manger could have better training in how to nicely deal with customers. The removal of ninja area does provided more top rope lanes to ease up the already crowdedness of the place. However the place have become more stuffy and hot. Overall there are better climbing gyms out there.

My least favourite of the climbing walls I visited on my holiday in Singapore. It was kinda small, pokey and dirty. The top roping/autobelays section was short and often quite busy. There was a whole section under construction. Lack of aircon so you would get hot fairly quickly. The competency test for leading was the most expensive at $50 (Came with 1 session) which you could only book on 2 days over the week at certain times). The lead wall is outside and less crowded but reliant on the elements. The floor however is hard and painted with smooth paint so it's difficult to grip when catching a fall so you often just slide across the ground. Think this wall has taken safety passed the point of safe and back into dangerous. Having two autolocking carabiners for the autobelays is overkill and bulky to have in front of you whilst climbing.

Been climbing at this gym before Ground Up took over from Climb Asia. Stopped going for some time when they switched most lanes to autobelay and limited available lanes due to covid alternate lane restrictions. I’m glad they have now changed the ninja course to 2 new sections of walls and now have a better mix of autobelay and top rope walls. The booking system however leaves much to be desired - despite not collecting payment we have to first β€œbuy” a membership and then book in a slot. If payment is to be collected on-site, strongly recommend to just allow booking of slots instead of adding unnecessary steps in the journey. Also will be great if booking can be done on behalf, instead of having one account per booking which makes it hard to coordinate share pass booking slots. Overall good climb, and looking forward to a better booking system in the time to come.
