1* is for the counter staff who is kind enough to help adjust my bike. As a first timer to spin , I don’t recommend this place. Or maybe I went to a wrong instructor class. Reached early but the instructor don’t bother to check out who is new, to at least explain , instructor busy mingling with his I don’t know , ( regulars? ) because during class , u can’t get what he is saying with that loud music. After class never even bothered too, at least tell me what I should look out for. Options or anything so that I can spin next time. Well first timers need to find somewhere, with a instructor who really wants to teach, and not just rock the vibe ✌?✌?

I’m quite a newbie to spin (this was my 5th class) but this was probably my favourite class I’ve taken so far. I’ve felt pretty lost in several of my previous classes (esp when instructors tell us to move the lever), but I love the way Desiree gives instructions - she states the object first, then verb. “One turn - add it. Beat - catch it.” Makes it much easier for me to follow her calls. It was also such an efficient use of 45 minutes! Maybe because I haven’t done spin in 6 weeks, but I was really feeling the burn and huffing for air about 2/3 way into the class - fantastic workout compared to other activities I do like weightlifting, barre and aerial. Biggest challenge for me is always the double-time songs but Desiree’s instructions guided me to focus on catching the beat first (ignore choreo) and I think I came the closest to doing so than ever before in my life! Lighting choice was great, her energy was great, and studio was clean. Only thing that could’ve gone better in the session was that when they asked me for my shoe size, i thought they meant street shoe size (instead of spin shoe size) and the numbering on the shoe was faded so I didn’t realise and my feet became like vacuum-sealed sausages by the end of class. Just need to remember to be explicit about that next time.

Love the aesthetics and there’s a nice vibe to it when coming here. Absolutely clear commands, visual and energy when the instructor moves along. The rhythm can say really packs a punch. The bikes are easy to set up. But if you’re new, there will be staffs to guide. Before getting on your bike, be sure to choose the weight that is comfortable for you. As there will be arms workout for that. By the time you finish, it’s really sad to go. Why? Because it’s just that awesome! Highly recommended. What’s more it’s located at a place that’s convenient. Thumbs up for that too.

Booked via classpass and it was a fun first experience. Didn’t manage to get any pictures as was so overwhelmed with everything. They had shampoo, conditioner and body soap, along with Dyson hairdryers so you just have to bring yourself and a change of clothes.

Great workout with good variety of exercises. Their watermelon freeze is not bad too, just abit too sweet.

Experienced wonderful customer service this evening and would like to extend my gratitude to the kind ladies at the counter. I was really bummed about not making it to class in time due to the rain and traffic conditions. They were empathetic and provided me options of joining other same-day classes that had vacant spots. Super touched and grateful for the gesture! ??

I've only been to around 20 classes at GZ; it wasn't my go-to spin studio up until this year. The studio is clean and has great facilities, and the front desk staff has always been pleasant. For Spin classes though, I would generally go for lady instructors' classes. I loved Aimee, Eunice and Desiree's classes, and had no issues with any other female instructors as well. Quite comparable to instructors at Absolute. Very humble, pushes you in a gentle way, and friendly! The two male spin instructors that I experienced on the other hand... a waste of money and time to say the least; offensive to be honest. One instructor scolded beginners in the class and called them out because they attempted the arm movements while their pace was slow. Another instructor -- on a random Thursday morning -- heard no respond from the crowd when he said he will go faster, and jokingly made the remark: "silence means consent". Shocking, tasteless, not to mention highly unfunny, and honestly disgusting. This particular instructor also barely rode the bike throughout the session; made me think if he can't catch up with the program himself. Empathy and compassion in these two male instructors would go a long way. Kudos to the front desk staff and the remaining instructors.

Not recommend for first timer. I not sure is it just me or any other first timer. Because its my first time into spin class. So i was clueless on what to do and we went in quite early, but no one instruct us what to do, what option we can do, etc.. so only the front desk guy who came in to adjust the seat of my bike and telling us how to lock out from the shoes after class end. Tho Instructor did tell us new comer to just sit down and cycle all the way. But i not sure is it suppose to be like this?? Cycle all the way? Before warm down, he did say first timer, first time is always the best time, because just sit and see what they are doing. Before going, Was hoping with some excitement but end up, didn't enjoy cause feel weird. I don't learn anything by just seeing. I'm sure cycling while standing need some tactics? But after class instructor didn't bother to tell us new comer so we know what to do next during next class if we are still into spin class.
