Very yummy. Suggest all of you to try it. Queue is OK today. Boss very friendly. Starting from $3 - $5. Got black or white variation. I will try the white variant the next round.

For $3, the portion is reasonably huge. Value for money. The uncle is also friendly and offered to try both black and white in one plate. The white is sweet while the black is salty.

Sat morning queue took a while, The uncle use separate wok to cook the black & white ones. ? Generous portion for $3 with loads of eggs added. First time trying. Delicious:)

My favourite fried carrot cake, both black and white are tasty. We were last customer and uncle gave us discount, sgd5 for 2 plates. I have mine without chilli and the taste is still superb. The radish chunks are pillowy, egg is well combined and doesn't fall apart, there is no obvious chai poh (which is my type - don't like biting into chai poh). Seasoning just nice, you don't feel thirsty after. Reminds me of my childhood fried carrot cake that I can no longer get elsewhere. My second time here, and still as good. Will be back here again and again.

White carrot cake from a 1 man stall. Queue was about 5 long before I got there and quite slow but I realised he was making the big match that could serve 20 plus pax. Got the $4 and honestly it's too much for 1 person. The carrot cake was just OK. Had a reasonable flavour and plenty of egg. Nothing for me stood out to justify the queue.

Uncle cooked the carrot cake plate by plate hence the queue is slow. Nevertheless, the wait is worth it as it the fried carrot cake is really nice! The serving is v generous too. I ordered $4 and it is a big plate. Enough for 2 to share.

Carrot Cake / Chye Tow Kueh (SGD $3) @ Guan Kee Fried Carrot Cake. . I first chanced upon this stall, and their overly generous huge portions, back when I used to work nearby. . They serve an above average rendition, with a soft easy texture that the elderly folks around here like. Nice smoky edges to their handmade carrot cake, with a good mix of eggs within. . Seasoned with fish sauce and sesame oil, each plate is smoky savoury eggy sweet in taste, while being slightly greasy. . The black version fares better with a distinct lacing of the sweet dark soy sauce, while the white version has more pronounced smoky eggy notes.

Like what most people reviewed, the $3 portion is indeed very generous! While the taste is not exceptionally mind blowing, is definitely a good plate of carrot cake with very generous portion of eggs, which I also love. Not too sure if there’s a difference between the morning and afternoon uncle, but I had the one after 4pm. Don’t be overly enthusiastic either as they do not open on time. Today they started only at 4.10pm. Overall, a good plate of carrot cake!
