tl;dr: can get from Geylang Serai Market to East Coast Park, Marina Barrage, and Bedok reservoir, all mostly offroad (i.e. safe!) except for some short stretches. Linear connector from Geylang Serai market, running parallel to Haig road and later Marshall road (also linking to Ceylon road interim park and Carpmael Park); on to Mountbatten Road. Cross over, then use East Coast Lane or Brooke Road to get to Parkway Parade. Head to Block 79, using the underpass to cross the ECP and get to East Coast Park, near carpark C1. Viola!! From Geylang Serai Market, head East following the MRT line till Kembangan and you'll find the Siglap park connector on your right. Turn left here, going along Lengkong Tiga brings you over the PIE and onto tracks that run to Bedok town park and on to Bedok Reservoir. Going West from Geylang Serai Market, you'll reach the Geylang park connector at Guillemard road, which will bring you all the way to Marina Barrage.

It's a connector from Geylang to Katong. Stroll here at your own risk cos bicycles zoom around with no considerations for safety

This is a pedestrian short-cut walkway route from Katong to Geyland Serai area. Good for jogging and cycling.

Well maintained straight path without motorized traffic, well suited for a stroll, walking your dogs or jogging. Too bad it's not connected to any of the other nearby Park Connector Network trails. This path would be great if connected all the way to the Eastern Seaboard PCN trails. Now it goes nowhere...

Love the street with the open gym, nice place to see people walking, jogging, doing cycling etc various activities. It's one for the people who just want to be bit away from traffic and all. Not quite big but good for people around, who want to go to park, market, shopping complex and around.

It's a walkway. It's a way, and you can walk on it. Does it's job without any fuzz. As a bonus it also has plants. They're not in the way, so if you don't like plants, you've got nothing to complain about. Would I take a detour to get there? Not really. Would I walk it if it was the shortest route from where I am to where I'm going? Definitely! Deserves every one of the three stars. Especially the first two.

Pleasant, peaceful walk connecting East Coast Road to the Geylang Serai market. Don't expect much more than that!
