I had an unfortunate accident and ended up fracturing my left clavicle (collarbone). My initial assessment at CGH where the ambulance had brought me to (I didn't have a choice) left me questioning the 10-day waiting period for a surgery. My MIL referred me to Dr Chang H C and what a turnaround it was. I had my consultation the same day when I called for an appointment and was even offered to have the surgery on the same day itself. He explained the situation very clearly as well as his diagnosis and reasoning behind it. As the displacement from the fracture was quite significant, surgery was pretty much the only option. It was performed by Dr Chang himself the very next day at Gleneagles, a smooth 2hr procedure under GA. My mobility and range of motion has increased a great deal after the surgery and initial signs of recovery are looking positive. Payment was super seamless as well, I did not have to fork out a single cent for the surgery, though it amounted to somewhere around S$16,000, as it was completely covered by insurance. I did however have to pay for the consultation and follow ups which were slightly over S$100. Very glad to have Dr Chang helping me make this very painful process a lot better. I had a persistent joint pain on my thumb, which is now completely fine thanks to Dr Chang! Dr HC Chang was confident, and experienced enough to know the root cause of the issue, and his treatment (an injection) was painless thanks to his amazing local painkilling method (I've honestly never seen that elsewhere). I can tell that Dr Chang was also very sensitive to people's pain thresholds as he took the time to explain any potential discomfort or pain (honestly, I didn't feel anything at all), and overall he was very reassuring, which just gives you that much more confidence in your Doctor. He could even tell me how long more the pain might persist until the treatment takes full effect to completely resolve the problem. Would highly recommend him if you have any long-standing joint issue.
