However seems like standards have dropped abit. The chilli could have a bit more punch and the carrot cake was slightly dry.
It is still good just not the same as the legendary standards in the old days .

โ โ โ โ โ Reached here almost around 2pm to find out most stalls are already closed for the day. Luckily, this famous carrot cake stalls was still open. There was a small crowd gathering around the stall which i presume are waiting for their food to be ready. Only white carrot cake is served over here and price starts from SGD$2.50 onwards. I was give a buzzer upon paying. Waited for close to 15mins before my food was ready. SGD$3 portion was really generous.
Carrot cake was nicely fried, love the crispy bits on the edge. Carrot cake was well seasoned and the chili was pretty good as well.
Intresting to find that there are actually quite a few stalls that sells carrot cake as well.

โ โ โ โ โ This is simply one of the best carrot cakes I have eaten in Singapore.
It is best eaten when it's freshly prepared eaten on the spot instead of takeaway. The brown slightly charred parts are the best and it's so crispy. Loved the thickness of the carrot cake as well.
Very flavorful and well executed dish. The only grievance I have is the chye poh is quite little and would have gotten more fragrance if they sprinkled some spring onions on top of it.

โ โ โ โ โ Best white carrot cake I had so far. Great cooking skill that ensures that it is soft inside and crispy outside and wrap with generous amount of eggs judging by the fragrance and yellow colour.
Update: standard has dropped last 2 times I went. Average taste. Photo below is the more recent one.

โ โ โ โ โ One of the traditional well cook tasty fried carrot cake. Lucky to get the order without queing for too long, even take away, the fried carrot cake was still taste good, but definitely eating fresh will able to taste the crispness and fragrance of the carrot cake with slightly Char taste.
