Henri Charpentier - 181 Orchard Rd

Ordered the cake with rum (with chestnut at the top) and I must say it’s really delicious. Although it’s expensive for a slice of cake, but the taste of rum was very prominent. It seems to be coated with two layers of whipping cream, where the outer is the whipping cream with rum and the inner layer with the normal whipping cream. There seems to be some “fillings” where it has a texture of yam (with rum of course). I will definitely come back again if I feel like treating myself ??

Tried all three Financier. The original and matcha are too sweet without any beverages. Recommend the chocolate flavour one. Yet to try other desserts though.

Had high expectation for this as there were many good reviews on the cake. Frankly speaking the taste of the cake is great and the cream taste fresh and light. The presentation of the cake is horrible. When I open the box, only to realize the cake is melted at the bottom and the cake is not level, it is lopsided, as per image there were holes at the side of the cake. The staff who handed me the cake told me the cake will be able to last for 2 hours, but after reaching home in an hour this is what happened to the cake. Even putting the cake into the fridge for an hour didn’t help. My wife was looking forward to the cake but ended up being so disappointed as she had the ones in Japan before which was marvelous. Apparently the standard in Singapore is totally different from the ones in Japan. The 3 candles that came along with the cake is bad too. Out of 3 candle only 1 is usable. One is crooked, 1 is broken, left one standing straight. Not worth the penny for the cake.

Wow the financier pastry is so good. Very tasty and rich. Definitely i will come back for more. The staff is very professional and presentable, good service. They should expand the outlet as theres too little seating

fuss free pickup. managed to order this limited edition Mandarin Orange Shortcake. it’s light, refreshing, and delicious. the lady at the counter was very friendly and provided good service as well.

Cakes were excellent, reasonably priced and staff are friendly! But that 1 and only candle I requested wasn’t in our takeaway bag when we took out the cake for birthday celebration…

Addicting And Yummy Cakes! Their cakes are slightly on the expensive side but definitely worth every penny and calorie lol! Standouts are their Double Cheesecake and Strawberry Shortcake. I’ve never had such fluffy cheesecake that feels like eating tasty clouds. Staff are super friendly and efficient so you almost don’t need to queue at all to get them delicious cakes!

A quaint little store with only 4 tables. Tje financiers is to die for. So soft and moist.. flavourful. One is definitely not enough. We went back again for more. It is quite costly though at $3.10 per piece. (Look out for sales when they go for 2.50 a pop) cheers and enjoy.
