Value for money stall, unbelievable portion both meat and rice at inexpensive price. Food served with bowl of soup, chopsticks and soup spoon.

I usually post when something is good and keep quiet when it's just mediocre but today's lunch was EXCEPTIONAL! This is a great example of basic boiled chicken with superior MSG sauce. It is said that simple dishes are the most complicated to get right. These guys have perfected the art of smothering the chicken uniformly with nicely saturated MSG seasoning. Next, if you close your eyes and let your imagination drift, putting the Char Siew in your mouth gives the exquisite textural sensation of cardboard. It's grilled to perfection with not a hit of burnt bits and fat is nowhere to be found. Finally, the quintessential chilli! Not to be outdone by the main items themselves, the chilli is everything you could ever expect from something tipped out of a large commercial plastic container. Just that final kick of MSG to round off everything.

Generous portions of tender chicken. However the chicken lacked a deeper taste. Noodles were springy but too little. Roast pork lacked flavour too. Soup was the only thing with flavour.

We love the soya sauce chicken here. Extremely tender, nicely seasoned and braised. And super value for money. Half a chicken costs just $7.50!!

As usual, it is hard to find a day gone by without seeing any queue when you have a crave for traditional Hong Kong Soy Sauce Chicken. The queue is made worst during Chinese New Year Eve, when people will order one full chicken. Why? Because for half piece chicken @ $7.00 and whole piece chicken @ $14.00 during normal time. For this Chinese New Year, the boss is just doing a service with a small mark up @ $20.00. How not to order from this stall? ? Now, for the food, I always go for the Soy Sauce Chicken Noodles. The boss is always very generous with his giving. My wife all time favorite is the Chicken Rice. A check with the boss on the review here that someone posted the use of MSG. His replied is he never claimed that his chicken sold at stall does not comes with no MSG. What is a small usage may be a lot to others, while what seems to be a lot may only be a small portion in the eyes to some. And there is no claims to said MSG cannot be used in cooking. In conclusion, all I can say is, so far I have got no complain about the overall, be it service, attitude or price. This is a MUST TRY stall if you are in Taman Hiring Food Centre.

Soya Sauce Chicken Hor Fun taste good. The chicken breast meat is tender and soft beyond my expectation. However hor fun was out of my expectation. I was expecting the slim kind of hor fun like Ipoh hor fun. Char Siew Noodle are both good. The portion of meat for $4 is good. The soup can be better.
