Another favourite with my family. We would usually buy a whole chicken for dinner. They used slightly larger sized chicken. Even after steaming, the soy chicken remained moist and tender. The marinade is subtle yet evident. An excellent value for $15.

I am surprised that there are no reviews for this particular store. Out of all the soy sauce chicken I have tasted this is one of the best. The chicken are of the right size so the favors penetrates right into the meat without overpowering the original chicken fragrance, and the skin has the right sweetness and texture which is the most difficult part to get right. Their price is also very fair. A must try.

2nd time patronising the store, the queue can be quite long during lunch and you might not be able to get a chance to try the roasted meat rice so remember to come early! Hopefully my pictures got you drooling ? I didn’t write a review the first time cause I didn’t have photos to accompany it with a review. The first time I tried this stall, I would have given it a 4/5 because the meat placement isn’t nice/appealing though the dish itself is good. The portion is just nice, quite filling for a decent price, $3. A lot of meat (refer to the picture). I love the crispiness of the roasted meat skin; eating the meat by itself can be a little salty but once you mix it with the rice is alright; the saltiness goes away. You can choose to get the gravy or don't get the gravy on top of the rice. I got the gravy, so the rice tasted better, and it's easier for me to swallow. The gravy seems the same as the one on the tofu that I ordered extra. The sauce on the tofu/rice is unique, different from the braised tofu you order from cai fan stores, and I like it a lot. The soup accompanied with it also taste good; it's like the soup from the wanton mee that they are selling. They are tempting me to try out their wanton noodles, which will be on my list and next review. Stay tuned:)
