The HSBC bank is the most disgusting bank I ever came across in my life ! For no specific reason they closed down my account it took me 4 months to get my remaining balance back .Three years later as a correspondent bank of my trading platform they froze my transaction to my bank account it is still under investigation of the bank completely ridiculous.In the mean time I can’t feed my kids properly and can’t pay the school bill thanks to the HSBC bank. The HSBC has done money laundry for Mexican drug criminals has moved money from terrorists and has done business with Iran etc This bank has broken the rules all over the place and to make it right now they start to hassle customers for no specific reason . My advice is to ever body who got a HSBC account close it down before HSBC closes down your account for no reason. This bank can't be trusted and got double standarts etc..

Maybe it's a financial central district thing, but on three separate occasions I've found this HSBC branch's receptionist extremely rude! They practically yell at customers to "take a number" while chatting amongst each other, despite the short lines on weekday mornings. Thankfully the account managers are much more professional, very detail-oriented and highly efficient.

Terrible customer service, especially with phone banking. HSBC, please note that I am cancelling my services with your bank SPECIFICALLY because your phone banking services are atrocious. I've never been put on hold or transferred around as much for a simple request. A through audit needs to be conducted - start by calling all your competition so you'll have first hand information of just how poor you're experience is. Simply shameful.

No one work properly in this bank... In 29 June 2020, I emailed a request for an early repayment for my loan with HSBC. One week later someone gave me a missed call. I called back later and got diverted in a voicemail, which I left my details. But no one called back, and so I tried my luck one week later with that same number. This time, someone picked up and she remembered my case. Instead of processing my offer, she gave me a counter offer which was even worse offer than my request. When I rejected the counter offer, she said will called me back as she was on the way to a meeting. That was 3pm in the afternoon, and I was thinking maybe she would called me around 5 to 6pm but no call. I was so mad for them to waste my 2 weeks of waiting and so I went down to Marine Parade Branch to get my request processed and also lodged a complaint. I also got the email of the guy who served, so that someone could help me to monitor. That week, the customer service called me and counter offer the same bad deal which I once again rejected. And she has no choice but to send out my request for processing. While waiting for the settlement team to process, once again someone called me again and give me the same bad counter offer again. I am so mad as I have been going round and round. Finally she admitted that she didn't see the comment column which stated that my request was already sent for processing already. Side tracked a bit, while waiting for the letter from settlement team, I emailed to the Marine Parade guy and asked him to check for the progress of my request. He replied me 3 days later with an email containing an corporate encrypted message, which I will not be able to access outside the bank network. I wrote back and asked him what was he trying to say, and no reply. Finally, I received a letter from the settlement team that I need to prepare the payback amount in the repayment account before 3 Aug, and payment will be due on 3 Aug. Now at 4 Aug, I checked the money was not deducted and I have to call the customer service once again and see what is wrong. Sigh.

Very slow credit card application process. Applied for a HSBC card because of singsaver promotion. Usually applications with other banks retrieves myinfo through singpass and expedite application processes. 16mar- applied 23march - no news. Called in.. 1apr- 2weeks later, my status is still pending. I don't experience such delays with other banks. Fastest one one that sends me the card within 3 days. Here I am with HSBC, status still pending after making 2 calls in to check. -.- joke apparently they say it's due to overwhelming application ?

Recently I attempted to install the HSBC mobile banking app on my new smartphone, however I received an error message in the app stating that I have exceeded the allowable device limit for the registration of the Digital Secure Key/Digital Token. After numerous unsuccessful logins via Internet/Mobile banking, I have to reach out to HSBC Customer Service hotline to complete my iBanking password reset (which will take 1 calendar day) and the removal of the old smartphone from the Digital Secure Key/Digital Token registration on their backend. I hope my experience sharing will help other HSBC SG customers avoid this potential pitfall.

β€œGet your credit card approved instantly*” says hsbc.com.sg Noted the asterisk but I don’t get why I am under review when I clearly meet the 3 REQUIREMENTS listed on HSBC site for instant decision. I guess you should reconsider misleading consumers or give a good explanation ?
