★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I can't really recommend HSBC to anyone because of it seem that everyone in the backend team doesn't really work. Took them about 4 weeks from 11th November to return funds that was wrongly transferred because of outdated swift codes in the internet banking portal. Isn't this basic housekeeping?
Was confirmed via a call that HSBC would waive the TT fees on the 9th December. Lady on the phone even did a identity verification with my younger brother, but was unable to advise amount and date of refund.
As of now, there is no refund of these fees. CSO now says that the latest update in the system is dated 15th Dec, pending approval, with no communications from anyone at all until I called in to check.
