Very nice agency.. They provide villa for very reasonable prices. Very corporative staff and friendly. Best real estate and housing services agency by far I have seen.

I had the very bad experience to rent house at ideal home. the electricity bills from ideal home, I was charged more than what.I have used the electricity. the electicity bill I was given is provided by ideal home not from official utility company. that was my first and last time to rent a room at ideal home

The agent just sent you a long list to reply, and once they got the info they want, they dont even want to follow up again. Might think that we are not "qualified" enough to rent their "Ideal" room.

The agent lied that they cannot register the work permit holder to a condo. It’s written clearly on MOM website private properties have no such limit

The room is well furnished and the price is also okay, until you consider the utilities (I have described about utilities below) and the house is near to the NTU where I work ( but no food court nearby). One can use washing machine as much as possible and one can use the fridge as much as possible. Again weekly a maid come for sweeping the house and toilet. These are the good sides. BUT I am giving it three star because of many reasons described below. I have divided the review into 7 sections as below. (1) AGENT and HOUSE MANAGER: (Irritating and not responsive) I was irritated with the agent because they put lots of advertisement but most of them are unavailable. Even after he says it is available , after few days he says the house is unavailable. It was really irritating. Again during viewing of the house, the agent was in hurry and I could not view the house properly. Moreover if I complain about something the house manager take action very slowly and sometimes they don't care about customers problem. Once I complained that the bulb in my room is low lowered and I can't study, I do not know how to replace the bulbs, so I asked for help, but it took long time untill the technician for maintaining the Aircon come to my room, I had to wait for two months. Moreover, my Aircon bill is +20$ per month without using it, because the Aircon meter increases its value without using. I complained about it several times, I do not get any responses. (2) AIRCON:(pay bill without even using it) Secondly, this agency puts a seperate meter for Aircon for each room seperately. I used the Aircon on 12 th June for one hour last time, they charged me 20$ for using Aircon from 19 th June to 19 th July. It seems like I am paying for Aircon without using it. The Aircon meter keeps increasing its reading even if I do not use aircon. I complained about it to the house manager many times, no actions has been taken. They lower rent in new contract. (3) UTILITIES: (high) Moreover the PUB bill is is in between 30$ to 60$. So one would expect a extra utility bill of 50$ to 80$ (+20$ for Aircon without using it). Again per three months due to Aircon servicing one need to pay 30$. If I add up this amount into monthly utilities (+10$ per month), the utility bill become 60$ to 90$ per month, WITHOUT USING AIRCON. In average , 80$ per month without using Aircon. (4) GOOD THINGS: Otherwise the only good thing is the room is well furnished. There is no owner and so not much restrictions. One can use as much as washing machine and fridge and microwave. Weekly someone come to the house to clean the house and toilet. Maintaining Aircon per three months (its bad for me, I am afraid to use Aircon because of the electric bill is 20$ even if I do not use it). I can not tell about the cooking experience , because I do not cook. (5) BAD SIDES OF FURNISHING:(Students view) I do not like the table. If you are a student and you need a table to write and work with laptop, then the given table is ridiculous, because of the glass cover on the table which hurts the hand. There was no chair given as well. (6) FLEXIBILITIES: Because of no owner and many people used to live in these houses. One can find many abandoned items and one can use it. For example I got a chair and a whole new bad for my room. (7) SHARING TOILET AND USING STAIRS:(only one toilet need to share with more than 4 people. I have no problem with this one , but still important to mention. ) Another bad thing is that I stay at the third floor and so I need to go upstairs and downstairs many times to collect drinking water and to take shower. Again four people need to share only one toilet, that is also a bad side, because some people brings guest in the house and we need to share the toilet with the guests many times. (8) ONLY ONE SOCKET IN A ROOM: Only one socket is available , for electricity. If you know about electricity then you should know that it is very risky to take power for four gadgets from one powerline. It will cause problems, like the socket will burn or electrocution.

I have recently rented a room in one of the apartments. I have been asked to get in touch with the house manager, for any issues in the house. And I noticed that, the 2 burner in the gas stove was having issues with one of the burners, where am unable to Simmer it(it switch off when I simmer it). I had raised this as one of the concerns with the manager on the Day-1 of moving into the apartment. The manager had visited 2 weeks after my complaint and switched on the Gas stove, and told it is perfectly working fine. It was so visible that he doesnt know cooking or how to use a gas stove. I had showed him the actual issue that is there in the stove, for which he asks me to vacate the house, if am not feeling comfortable.I was extremely There are several people in the apartment, and most of the times we had to use stove with others, and if we aren't able to simmer it, the dish will be burnt in High flame. Also, this is a High Risk issue that if the stove switches off, there will be Gas leak, and there is a possibility of a Fire accident. If this is how the company is going to treat people, then am sure they are going to loose business in no time. This is a genuine problem, which I pointed out,and extremely unhappy with his RUDE behaviour.
