Its been 2 years since I visited Ipoh and had the original tuck kee. Theres been mixed feedback from friends and family but I'll try it for myself anyway. I love the dai lok mee, theres wok hey and taste awesome. For the moonlight horfun, I cant say the same. Although the base is likely the same, it just didnt have the same umami-ness to it and was quite jelat. For the sides i had baby octopus and meatball. Baby octopus was great, love the crunchy bits on it, whereas for the meatball I was expecting the ipoh style pork balls thats bouncy, this version was more like minced meat balls which I didnt love. Overall its great and I will go again! Btw, I arrived before the opening hours, there was already a queue but I didnt wait too long for the food. :)

hidden gem amongst the industrial area.. came by on a weekday evening & was surprised to see the long queue. service was pretty fast though, & food was really yummy, reminding us of malaysian hawker fare! some might find the food a little too savoury, & i felt the portions were on the lesser side. stil, an enjoyable meal! ?

First timer on a Saturday dinner. The dishes are affordably priced, albeit do not expect the usual zichar stall portion, they're smaller which is good for 1 or 2 pax at max. The octopus is tender juicy and soft, not chewy at all and pairs well with the accompanied spicy crushed peanut sauce. The lime lala is tangy and very appetising and can hardly find sand or "unopened"/spoiled clams, also cooked to the right doneness. The moon horfun has the best wok hei I've ever had. They are soft and so silky-smooth. Though I wished the portion can be a little more generous ? Go early (before 6pm) otherwise be prepared to wait looooooong. We have to wait about 20 minutes when we ordered our food at 6.15pm.

滑蛋河 very different from local, no 锅气, but surprisingly very nice to eat, hor fun very smooth. Baby octopus very 爽口! Chicken wing well marinated. Worth to eat!

This place is famous for the ipoh hor fun. But to be honest it was mediocre. What stood out most for us was the fried spicy pork followed by the baby octopus. The pork was not dry, packed with flavour, not overly spicy and sufficiently crispy. It was a good dish and probably more worth it than the 4 pcs of fried midjoint chicken wing at $4. The baby octopus was cooked perfectly. They weren't chewy/tough. The sauce itself might be a bit on the bland side, but the chilli makes up for it. The horfun was mediocre, but with unique smooth eggy texture and typical jb horfun flavour. Do not expect the standard wokhei you would have with sg horfun. Overall, a decent meal.

Ran past this coffee shop a few times finally decided to try, although been hearing quite a bit about them. I didn't even know it's an overseas of the original one in Ipoh, and I brought along an Ipoh friend with me as well. We didn't order a lot, because I think the specialty are the main noodle dishes. I was a little disappointed because I thought it was like a tzechar place but the sides to order was too limited. Had the moonlight horfun and the laoshufen. I liked both of them but preferred the horfun better. My Ipoh friend said was good but the wok hey is definitely weaker than the real one in Ipoh. Enjoyed the lime lala too. Would definitely visit again. The prices are very reasonable and portion is quite okay.

The place to go for Malaysia style noodle if you have craving. Totally enjoyed the moonlight horfun and the taste is authentic. Rest of menu also nice and reasonably priced, especially the lala and squid. Did not enjoy as much when I first have it as takeaway cause the noodles all stick together and nothing like eating there serve hot from kitchen. Will eat again once restrictions for 2 pax dine in is lifted since cannot order much dishes. Recommend to try at least once.

Yee Mee & Hor Fun was good and Dai Luk Mee (I had the mixed noodle version) is close enough. Can't complain since travelling to Ipoh or Jln 222 PJ is difficult during Covid. Deep fried pork was done perfectly. Btw, this is the only shop in SG that can do mixed noodle for KL Hokkien Mee. Good job!
