★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love their latte with Sumatra beans.
Wow they even serve pizza now, thin and crispy crust!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ambience is nice, espresso-based coffee's not too bad, drip coffee's not the best (often over-extracted; suggestion: maybe switch to a kalita wave instead of a V60? kalita waves provide brews with greater consistency and is harder to go wrong with.)
With regard to the staff, the service is a disgrace. The cashier's just there to take orders and collect money with complete disregard for manners or respect for customers; no thank yous, and all thank yous from the customer (myself), were completely disregarded and ignored. Cashier even looked annoyed when i asked for more info about the coffee. Following payment, she directed me to the collection area with just a gesture and not a single word. Additionally, in the midst of serving me, she was constantly talking to the other staff about things non-work related. While I find nothing wrong with doing that during work hours, I find it unprofessional and disrespectful when it's done while attending to a customer. Also, often, I find that the staff create more noise through their chatter than the customers do, despite the place being fairly full (I came at 2pm on a Thursday).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Coming from a broke university student who spends 12 hours a day in the vicinity - THERE ARE 2 DISCOUNTS YOU HAVE TO CAPITALIZE ON!!! First, after 4pm, their croissants go for 50% off! Usually it’s just the plain ones or the pain au chocolat but that’s good enough. If you’re lucky, they may have an almond croissant or two lying around. Second, they occasionally have 1-for-1 drinks from 3-5pm. The iced chai latte with less milk is the absolute bomb, I’ve never had anything this addictive elsewhere. The staff members are lovely and welcoming even though they probably recognize me and mah crew as cheapskates <3

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice ambience. Perfect place to get some work done especially during off-peak hours. Staff are friendly and attentive to details. Offered to warm up my Ondeh Ondeh cake (which was pretty fabulous and a must-try if you have a penchant for local kueh-kueh flavours). I like the fact that there will be 2 choices of beans available for the myriad selection of caffeinated concoctions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried their ice latte twice and it was pretty ok.
Food was terrible.
Clams were not only frozen they had a smelly dirt taste. I asked them for recommendation, and they recommended I switch to Aglio Olio which was without any meat, but I wanted some meat, so I ordered carbonara mushroom chicken and it was bad. I didn’t bother returning, just ate the pasta leaving the chicken.
No wonder I don’t see people ordering food here but mostly coffee.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The coffee, bagels and croissants are yummy, with value for money. The cafe has a cosy and comfortable ambience. Special thanks to the staff and especially to Nathan for his customer service. Will return again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Doesn't excite and fails to draw attention. With fierce competition from other niche brands surrounding, Jewel relies on its reputation to draw the crowd. Tried the coffee and it's not to my personal liking. Price for food is competitive but the dull ambience doesn't excite me to revisit.
