★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decent hot chocolate and decent place to study. But absolutely terrible business ethics. Refused to issue a utensil and insisted on requiring a purchase even though I buy there often and other customers didn't even use a utensil.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wide variety of coffee and tea, interesting menu options that are quite affordable (cheaper than Starbucks). Coffee here is very good, recommend the Latte Freddo and Manuka Honey Macchiato. Mocha and Green Tea Latte are also pretty good.
Service is quite fast, but can get quite crowded. Sometimes have discounts through Eatsy. Indoor and outdoor sitting (sheltered), quite a lot of seats and power plugs, good study spot. Also sells merchandise like cups.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maxx coffee next to NUS Central Library has become my second favorite place to get my work done. There are a lot of seats inside, so if the library is too crowded, I often come here instead. The coffee here is nice - nothing special but enjoyable. I really like the pastry they sell here. The chocolate muffins are perfect when you are low on sugar. The staffs are really sweet too. The ambience is not too quiet and just chill enough so if you like studying at Starbucks, you'll like it here :)
