β β β β β The meats are rubbery and the rice is subpar. Admittedly, the salted egg gravy and cereal breading are both rich and flavourful; and the portions are generous β but still, not enough to justify its price at $8 per plate. At most, I would pay $5 for each plate.
Overall, three stars: the sauce gives this dish the potential to be great, but only if they improve the textures of both the meats and the rice. If I return to this restaurant, it would not be because I crave the food; but because I want to check if they have improved (I hope they do improve).
This review is based off the Creamy Salted Egg Chicken ($8) and Cereal Chicken ($8) set meals. The dishes were served and prepared off-peak on a weekday afternoon.

β β β β β Quite disappointed with the food. Though it was Phase2(HA) - the takeaway end result of the food was quite bad. Rice was soggy, the chicken meat was tough....the gravy was way too little.
Waiting time was horrible. Only 1 person operating at the time I visited the store.
100% improvement requred to gain more customers, otherwise it will be a 1 time deal for many others.

β β β β β Edit: Came the 4th time, super welcoming owner/server (same middle aged guy). Came rushing because he didnβt see us, very smiley and friendly. Food is served speedily per usual.

Creamy Salted Egg Chicken Set + Teh Peng $10
Third time here, was around the area so popped by for a quick dinner.
Personally, LOVE the gelat-ness so I was a little disappointed when it came watery. But give it a few minutes, the sauce thickens and seeps into the chicken - just the way I like it! The chicken may not be everyoneβs liking though, personally feel that it is a-ok since the sauce is good, but it is what may be described as βrubberyβ.
Ordered a teh-peng, it was mostly water and ice so was quite disappointed. Gotta have a decent drink yβknow! Overall though, the meal here is still much better than most of the salted egg chicken in the country - and is still the best creamy salted egg chicken Iβve had.
That say, I wouldnβt come all the way just for it. If youβre nearby, good to pop over. In the afternoon, the heat kills so I recommend coming in the evenings.
Never knew this was operated by the Chinese, so it was a pleasant surprise. The middle-aged guy that took and served my order was polite; straight to the point which perhaps why someone commented he was rude(?). A few ladies (owners I think) do huddle around and chat, can be quite loud if you care for the ambience.

β β β β β Underwhelming experience. Ordered three plates of rice for dine in. Waited more than 30 minutes because they focused on handling takeaway orders. Rice portion was so little. Please donβt waste your time eating as your lunch time will be over before the food arrives.

β β β β β Creamy salted egg chicken + cereal and the creamy salted egg pork is good despite being a takeaway. Although the salted egg sauce is being absorbed by the rice, making it slightly dry. Eating there would definitely be better!
The sweet and sour pork is good but not worth $10, itβs too expensive!

β β β β β I donβt know why so many positive reviews. Ordered creamy salted egg pork(fish came instead), and the cereal chicken, plus 2 vegetables. The fish and chicken came luke warm. Like its been cooked and left there for hours, and reheated. Cereal like lau hong, chicken like salted chickenβ¦ so salty it was almost not edible. The only saving grace, the vegetables was hotβ¦ but not nice though. Theres no 0 or negative star. This stall doesnβt deserve 1 at all but alas, thats what i can rate. Avoid like a plagueβ¦

β β β β β The sauce is creamy and tasty indeed. HOWEVER the chicken and pork meat were all too tough, so hard to chew. I tried the chicken, pork and pork rib. All too tough. The white rice was too dry. No wonder it's remotely quiet with so many empty seats even on a sat evening.

β β β β β We ordered 2 sets of rice: creamy salted egg and cereal chicken rice. Both are quite costly: $8 each for the smallest size. However the portion is quite sizable. The taste is good, even though the cereal chicken can be a little bit salty for some people. The downside is that the place can be a little difficult to find unless you drive, since the nearest bus stop is about 10 mins walk away.
