★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An unassuming stall front, but a nice bowl of prawn noodles. 古早味, not much of fanfare. Just a simple and tasty bowl of prawn noodles in my opinion.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Each time I visit Eastackle or Lifelong Learning Institute I’ll come to this stall at Geylang East Hawker Center. A slight variation on the classic black broth prawn noodle soup except JIn Jin doesn’t include pig innards, skin or tail, just fresh firm prawns, fish cake and/or pork ribs. The soup is dark tea colored but without an overpowering prawn/msg taste. It’s redolent of a smoked bone broth....The pork ribs is the star along with the broth. It melts into your mouth, meat, brisket, tendon and Jin Jin was generous with the ribs. Yes, she adds loads of vegetables i.e. bean sprouts and pakchoy so it feels more organic than the usual prawn noodle soup. Servings start at $3 but I had the $4 which was plenty.... or more than any other prawn noodle stall will serve. Delicious!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not the typical prawn noodle with the strong prawn broth that most local like. But the pork stew has been cooked till so soft that it disintegrate in your mouth. Elderly with dentures will not have a problem eating the meat. Stall of mother and daughter team. Popular with the residents especially in the morning.
$3 for this bowl is well worth it.
