β β β β β I purchased a Fave voucher for the 2 hour Gua Sha + Bo Jin Facial for 1 person on 22 March 2021.
Only after getting me to change out of my clothes and lie on the bed then did they examine my skin and asked me if my bad breakouts were a recent thing and I said yes. They then told me that because of my breakouts, they could not do gua sha. I understood and told them if I could come back another time instead when my skin condition got better and was told no, and they pushed for an acne facial instead, saying that my skin will never be in the right condition to ever do gua sha so I should just do an acne facial. I told them again that I would prefer to do gua sha another time but they still pushed to have me do the acne facial. Prior to this conversation, no procedure had been done on me but once I told them that I didn't want to proceed with the session and come back on a later date, the lady boss took out some cleanser and started wiping my face with it, as if to say the session had already commenced. I finally agreed reluctantly because I was already there and I felt very pressured as they didn't seem to want to let me come back another time and to have the facial done there and then.
After that, she went on to do the extraction. During the process, I heard her mumble to her assistant in Chinese about how my pimples were bad & she had to let all the "bad blood" out. I then told her that for the extraction, I would prefer her to not touch my pimples & just continue doing it on the rest of the skin as I didn't want to aggravate them. She did not take this well & told the assistant in Chinese that she did not want me to help me anymore and left the facial to the assistant instead.
After she took over, I asked her what the acne treatment entails & she told me they would just help me apply a mask & use a LED light. She also told me that the session was for an hour+, a fraction of the 2 hours I had initially agreed to. Funnily enough, when I checked online after, I could not find any form of "acne facial" so I'm not sure if they were creating something out of thin air (I could be wrong about this as they may not have stated all their packages online but this is rather fishy).
As I felt short-changed and was already very uncomfortable with the situation, I told them that I wanted to stop the facial. The lady boss then came back and shouted at me, demanding that I pay $20 because they already had proceeded with the session. I told them in the first place, I had already wanted to postpone the session, which they did not to allow, and that I felt like it wasn't fair on my end. She yelled at me a bit more before returning to another customer in the next room, where she started to complain about the customer to me in Chinese, telling her that I was a joke. I told her that I would appreciate it if she did not complain about me to another customer in front of me but she ignored me and continued to do.
I was also not allowed to leave the shop until I made payment and this was only resolved when the male boss said that he would settle this issue with me later.
Later on, he called me and told me that the lady boss was his wife and he asked me to settle the issue by transferring $20 to her PayNow. I declined as I did not want to do anything to appease her. He asked me again and I refused again, so he asked me what I wanted and I told him I wanted to drop the matter and not have to deal with the shop or either one of them ever again, so we agreed to not have me pay the $20 and settle the matter there and then. However, this is extremely unprofessional way of settling an issue.
Over the few days, my skin condition worsened significantly. I developed cystic acne on the lower half of my face, which is something that I have not experienced before. I treated the pimples as per usual did but they did not subside. I eventually had to go to a doctor to get these treated and a few of the pimples had to be cut open. I was also put on antibiotics and am also concerned that there will be scarring even after the pimples have subsided.

β β β β β After reading the few lacklustre reviews, I'm glad I never had to try out anything from the, other than being declined on arrival. Despite making an appointment two weeks prior, they cancelled my appointment without informing me and refused to refund me.
Horrible, horrible, horrible, luckily I bought a Fave voucher for just over twenty dollars but I"m sure their services would probably rate far less than one voucher.

β β β β β Itβs one of the worst places to go. Started with fave voucher for facial my acne increased. They make me take a package for facial. Later they over charged me and misguided about the pricing.
Their peace centre branch has worst of customer service and staff/ manager showed high level of disrespect, products used are of low quality. Got manicure too, gel nail paint came out on 4th day.
