★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fortunate find as wife was feeling not well, so we sat down next to the stall. Noted the two young men with distinctive body arts running it. This tells us they are a new breed of Singaporean business adventurers.
Then, I noticed the stream of regular customers who know exactly what to order. This tells us their food must be good.
So, I ordered the first item on their wall menu - $3.80 char siew wanton noodles (soup). And wow, really good leh.
The noodles are the fine type and boiled to perfection. Springy and not entwined. The wanton are soft and melts in your mouth. The soup base reminded me of the ramen brooth of a famous stall in Ginza. The generous portions of chye sim (vegetable) is fresh and dark green.
Yeah. We should support these gutsy guys. Hopefully, they are Singaporeans
