A rich broth and full of spices from Uncle George. It could priced higher than most outlets but it was way better than the mass over-hyped establishments along East Coast Road. Highly recommended and I would encourage the fans of Singapore Laksa to come and support his stall. Minus one star is why he charges $5 for a $4.5 order ??? I didn’t want to kick up a fuss during this trying times for operators

One of the best laksas that i have ever eaten. Creamy, rich coconut soup with smooth, chewy bee hoon which makes it easy to eat. Owner is very friendly & welcoming. When he overheard about why the signage board is Eunos MRT BKT & not Katong Laksa (George), he shared why it is so & where his signboard is. Delicious food and experience. Now i have a to-go place whenever i crave for laksa ?

George Katong laksa is worth a visit if you are around the area. Laksa gravy is to me just nice with the right flavour and thickness, not too strong yet not bland. If you like a little more kick add more chilli and you will be pleasantly pleased. 4 stars instead of 5 because the portion is quite small for the price $5, and the hum some not fresh. Can’t win Yishun one in my opinion, but not far off(for the laksa soup). Won’t mind coming back again for sure

The laksa was great! The gravy was rich, the the prawns were good and the spice level and fragrance were on point. The only thing I wish was better was the noodles. The noodles were a little too soft, which made it less chewy than I liked. It may have been intended, but I would prefer if it has a little more chewiness to it. Good laksa though - satisfied my cravings.

Katong Laksa (George's). 307 Changi Road. 2nd shop after Lorong Sarina. Opens from 0800H until 1500H, but they tend to sell out at 1300H, on peak days, according to the boss, George I presume. Both him, and the younger bloke, are friendly. Very relaxed demeanour, I'd like to add. That alone, they have my pledge of loyalty. Typical Katong Laksa. No frills, not pretty, but packs a whopping bowl-ful of lemak coconuty thick witches' potion. Thinly sliced Fish cakes, really almost non existent. No Taupok. But hey! That's as original as it can be. The Sambal was awesome. Not overly sweet, but in the spiciness department, it packs a punch, unlike the regular folks ... sweet, and meh. Requested for more Daun Kasom, and they didn't disappoint. One can never have enough of that herb. Mix the potion with the Sambal and Daun Kasom, and like me, you'll be transported back to the 70s and 80s. Having the first spoonful of potion, I immediately thought of the Laksa sellers along Smith Street (roadside stall, manned by an old auntie in traditional Chinese clothes) or, the stall at the super long ago Toa Payoh Bus Interchange. Yes. That's how influential the taste is. It made me reminiscent of the past. A pity that they ran out of Cockles though. I'd love my Laksa with plenty of them Si Hums. The more Humful it is, the better my tum tum will feel. Old school signboard, and even the tiles are old school. These .... me likes. 9/10

Brings you back to your school tuck shop style laksa. So refreshing and smooth , I finished in 3mins. Hidden gem in a area famous for Malay food. A rather small coffee shop just this store and the drink store. This version of laksa is not really rich , it's good because you do not get too sick eating too much . The curry leaves gives a rather refreshing taste to the light gravy broth. One of a different kind out there. A retro taste of the old.

The laksa was rich and flavourful with spices, but somehow not too overwhelming and I truly enjoyed the entire bowl til the last sip of gravy (I usually get tired of laksa taste halfway through the bowl, no matter where I try). It was just really good. If you are like me and laksa is not your favourite dish, I highly recommend you to try this place, because it will change your mind!

Katong Laksa ? Food wise: Thick, creamy, spicy, and fragrant Laksa, the laksa soup itself was already so delicious! One could taste a little hint of almond(could be just me), those taste from almond paste, the extra aroma! The thick Bee Hoon, chewy and springy, coats laksa soup so well. The noodles weren't too long, can fit onto a spoon, pair it with some soup and ingredients, and could taste the best of all worlds! There were generous amounts of fish cakes, nice chewy fish cakes just went so well with laksa. The $5 has prawns, 3 big juicy prawns, all cut out already and soaked in the goodness of laksa, it was fresh and firm, definitely sweet, either by itself or by the laksa soup. ✨ Ambience wise: Great coffee shop! ?? Service wise: Great! When requested for some chili, just look at the amount of chili given! Generous! ? Price wise: $5, worth it!
