★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful examples of when nature takes it back, giant trees, thriving bird community, thanks to the abundance of insects. Sad to find a few logged giant trees, perhaps they were sick. One of these trees was close to 1.5m in diameter, climbing over them was a feat. Dog placed on this small tree for comparison only as I needed to move back a lot to get the shot, so I couldn't use my shoe as a measure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 3 sites inside this patch of the untouched small forest... the paths is muddy & a lot tree roots crawling all over the places... need to climb up & down slopes, pull, flip & over at some area... when exploring, need to wear proper hiking shoes, hiking stick for extra support, gloves is nice too so not to get cuts from the plants around...Note: there is an ants nest at the entrance...be careful... aftermath; wet tissue & some refreshments at the brick steps...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty cool place, be ready for lots of moscitos, but it's very nice to explore. Though it's very accessible, so I don't think one would spend more than 1 hr there if even.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Booked the Kay Siang Bunker Tour through Pelago and joined the tour with my parents and relatives in their 60s/70s on 25th Sept. Relatively easy trail with some adventure up and down small slopes (easy for the young ones but an easy challenge for the elderly). Still very manageable and enjoyable. Made more enjoyable by guide and owner Vijay who helped the elders navigate the slopes and shared interesting stories about the bunkers and other flora and fauna we saw along the way. There's also a lot of interesting history such as the different bricks we saw around the bunker and their origins. As a free exntension of the trip, Vijay also took to Dawson estates to have a nice sunset view from the 47 floor sky garden. An absolute delight.
Totally recommend this for any age group looking for a hike for bonding time and a little adventure.
And kudos to Vijay and SGTrek for hosting these trails to share part of SG's heritage and nature with many more people!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Short distance into the forest, from the roadside, but was challenging as there is no proper path with some slopes. A feel of Angkor wat, the structures were covered with roots of trees. Be prepared for mosquito bites.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place has 3 bunkers. All not far from each other. But be prepared to be bitten by mosquitoes. Good to wear long sleeves and pants for this hike. Enter via Kay Siang Road to see the first bunker and exit via Margate drive after visiting the 3rd bunker.
