We would like to give very honest feedback on the service provided by Kelly of Key Concept. During our first meeting, we hit it off quite well as she seemed to grasp what we want very quickly. We did our due diligence to check out 1 or 2 other IDs but the choice was clear. The planning phase went well and Kelly isn’t afraid to voice out her creative side on what to do and what not to do. From the many instances, we could tell her honest advice are not just to provide convenience to her team. The execution phase was mostly supervised by Kelly, as we were tied up with our family matter. It wasn’t perfect but Kelly goes the extra mile to make things right. An important trait Kelly exhibits is she’s super responsive, day or night. We are very satisfied with the overall experience, and would highly recommend Kelly.

Decided to go with Key Concept without even trying out other IDs - didn't regret the decision at all. Our ID Anna was able to understand our wants and needs right from the first session and was able to incorporate our (strange) ideas into the plan. The renovation process itself was mostly fuss-free and Anna was on top of things from start to end. We were hardly required to be present and could carry on with our daily commitments. Even when there were hiccups or changes to be made, Anna was able to effectively communicate and rectify the issues without causing much delay. Needless to say we were extremely satisfied with the outcome :) Even after handover of keys, Anna was always contactable and would always offer help if we had any complaints or difficulties. Would recommend Anna and Key Concept for an overall very enjoyable experience.

Key Concept was the second ID I met through Qanvast and Alison was the designer assigned to my renovation. After the first meeting, I knew right away that I wanted Alison as my ID. I like the fact that she is not pushy and listens to my concepts. She has an eye for design and her strength in creating clean and minimalistic lines went extremely well with my theme. Her suggestions and views on several design elements turned out awesome. I relied a lot on Alison when I was caught up with work, so she conscientiously updated me with the renovation progress. It is very important to have trust and faith in your ID and I think that was what Alison and I had to ensure the smooth completion of my home.

Key Concept has been recommended to me and my wife and our assigned ID was Kean. Kean has been extremely patient and helpful in guiding us throughout the entire process, from planning stage, to designing and finally the renovation stage. During all the different stages of renovation, communications, ideas, recommendations, and things that needs to be done on our end has been advised by him very clearly. The entire process couldn’t be any smoother without his help. He is also exceptionally prompt in updating us from details like 3D renderings, progress of the renovation, even to responding to our messages and calls whenever we need his advice. Overall, we had a wonderful experience with Kean & Key Concept, and they are definitely the ID that is highly recommended for a hassle-free and great experience!

We are writing this review from the comfort of our beautiful new home, designed and built with the expertise and care of our ID, Kelly. <3 In the process of trying to choose an ID, we viewed sooo many firms’ and designers’ work, but somehow, her portfolio spoke to us the most and we found ourselves returning to it again and again. We took a chance and asked if she had the availability to take on our project, and to our great fortune, she agreed!!! If you are a home owner in the process of ID selections, and especially if you have read up online and asked around for friends’ advice, there should be a pretty high chance that you’ve heard some of the horror stories and renovation troubles that unfortunately, do occur. With Kelly, you can rest assured that your renovation will never fall into that category. Her keen aesthetic sense, technical expertise and (very importantly!) excellent rapport with her team of contractors will definitely make for a smooth home-building journey. We had pretty firm ideas on what design elements we wanted for our house, so we were contemplating if we should just go the route of finding a contractor to execute our plans. However, we have absolutely no regrets engaging an ID - Kelly pointed out details every step of the way, in every single area of work (electricals, plumbing, carpentry, aircon piping, you name it!) that we would certainly not have the knowledge to manage on our own. She handles each part of the renovation with the perfect balance between practicality and aesthetics, ensuring that you will love looking at AND living in your home. Communication between home owners and IDs is so important, and this is where Kelly truly excels (all her other reviews will confirm this). She is highly responsive, relays messages clearly, and perhaps most importantly, is always honest and open. She’ll let you know what works and what doesn’t, will not hesitate to suggest if she thinks something can be better, yet won’t try to steer you towards a particular choice - that respect for the homeowners’ preferences is something we appreciated very much. We always felt comfortable speaking to her about our budgets, and with all our questions about everything big or tiny, she always attended to us patiently, in good spirits. In summary, it was simply such a comfortable partnership for us. We’ll now temper our effusive compliments with some realistic points - there will definitely be issues that arise, mistakes to rectify, defects that need attending to. There are no promises for a fully perfect renovation! Instead, what we learnt was really important, more so than a flawless process, was the sincerity and efficiency with which Kelly managed any concerns that arose. Even after handing over, there were small areas of defects that we found, and she has always handled our requests seriously and swiftly. She showed us her dedication in doing things right, not just getting the job done. She is truly invested, and takes immense pride in her work so that you can, in turn, be proud of your home :) We have been singing her praises to all our friends, to the point that some of them are convinced that they want to engage her for their future homes too hahaha. But honestly, there were so many happy moments in the process, like some of the times where we were so in sync with aesthetic choices (when your ID text-shouts ‘YASSS’ at your selections, how can you not have the confidence that you’re going to have a gorgeous home??). Kelly made what could potentially have been a stressful and tedious process enjoyable and easy for us. We had fun times during this whole reno, and we really are in love with the final outcome. We look forward to coming home and spending time together in this beautiful space every single day :)

Grace was our ID. After showing her images of what we liked, she was able to come up with designs that really suited us. She was very fast and responsive, came up with the designs and renders very quickly. When we had issues with the renovation, she was able to give us an update very quickly. The Chinese New year break was a challenge to our renovation progress and we needed to move in by a certain date but Grace assured us that the progress will not be delayed. Indeed, we were able to move in in time! She also helped us choose suitable lighting and furnishings for the house. We really like the end result! Thanks, Grace!

Key Concept is one of the few ID firms that provides 3D preview (with reasonable charges that could be offset from the reno) before signing the quotation. This is truly an advantage as it give homeowners more confidence if we have gotten the right ID. When we received the 3D preview, we were impressed by Alison’s design, that’s what we wanted! Alison is very responsive, she replied to our message even in the midnight. She has also been very patient and understanding with us throughout the whole renovation process despite some of our last minute changes of decision/design in making our dream home. Alison did her best to fit our budget without compromising on the design and aesthetic. Key Concept is not the cheapest among the quotes that we received, but the service and quality is worth it!! Renovation can never be a 100% smooth process especially during this Covid period. However, Alison did update us regularly the reno progress and informed us immediately when there was any hiccups. Appreciate that the renovation wasn’t much delay and the handover was done smoothly even it’s Covid period. The reno outcome is satisfying and meeting our expectation. For post reno, Alison is prompt in response and arrange the contractor to rectify the defects immediately. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Alison for all her hardwork and effort in making our dream home come true. Kudos to Key Concept and Alison!! Definitely, it is highly recommended to engage Alison and Key Concept if you are looking for renovation??

We went through Qanvast to shortlist a few IDs and soon after Jay from Key concept contacted us. Key Concept is the only firm that provides 3D drawings, with a fee of course, before signing up with them so you can have a better view of your ideas and what kind of cost to expect. After going through about six IDs, Jay managed to come up with the design and quotation that suits our budget. As first-time homeowners, there are a few things that we might not know about and Jay was able to give inputs on how to both ensure that what we want is practical and within a reasonable budget. We decided to sign the contract as we hit it off well with Jay and also based on comparing the quotes that we received. The whole renovation process wasn’t so smooth, as expected, as there were delays to our key collection and it was close to the CNY period. Some of the items that we chose was out of stock, however Jay was able to update us promptly and most of the issues was able to be rectified. During the renovation as well, if there were any changes or things that were not up to our expectations, we would be able to contact him and he will make the necessary changes. During final stages of reno and post, there were a few defects discovered and Jay was able to arrange for the contractors to rectify it as soon as possible. He came on site as well to make sure the final touch-ups are done well :) Overall it was a good experience with Jay, and we are writing this review from the comfort of our home, that we had lived in for only about a week, and had received praises from relatives who came to visit ?
