★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried the $6.50 set of basil pork rice with Tom yum soup. The basil pork tasted ok, pretty much just the run of the mill standard basil pork which is not outstanding. The tomyum soup was horrible though. It’s a $1 top up for this but it just tasted like soup water with no flavour whatsoever. On the bright (or not so bright) side there was one piece of mushroom in the soup. There are definitely much better Thai food around the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chance upon this stall at the eatery inside Sultan Plaza selling Thai food yesterday and decided to come back today to try. They have quite a extensive menu but decided to go with their everyday set meal, I had the stir-fried chili basil leave minced meat set, which comes with a sunny side-up egg and a bowl of tom yum soup. All their set meal are priced at SGD$6.50.
Despite requesting for less chili, the basil chicken was still quite spicy, but have to say it wasn't too bad in terms of taste, just that it was too spicy for me. The tom yum soup was actually not bad, there was a few pieces of straw mushroom. Would be better if it was less spicy.
