Economy rice stall's food isn't too bad. However the staff fronting the stall keep changing, with highly variable service. For example, a staff today with poor listening skills was not able to get my order, making me so irritating that I ended up buying one pack instead of two so spare myself the torture of having to repeating another difficult transaction. Will avoid buying from this stall whenever possible.

The attitude of drink store staff is extremely poor and the coffee and tea taste horrible! A high slope hair style, tanned skin man who manned the store yelling at customers repeatedly for order and just threw change on table top. Yesterday was the 2nd time I experienced this. He vented his anger on an Indian customer in front of me for his own mistake in taking order. He then extended same treatment to me. I told him right on his face, 'Your attitude is very bad' and he replied: 'Ya, Ya, Ya, so what' in Mandarin. I said to him, 'I guess you are not interested in your job anymore' and walked away. He shouted loudly: 'Ya lor'. If not because of the nearby school and construction site, this coffee shop would have closed down long ago. Lousy coffee and attitude. For sure I will never patronize this stall again!

Ate at the western food. The menu pictures don't do any any justice to the actual tasty food items! Seriously amazing uncle and auntie serving food at such amazing quality for a coffeeshop. If you're nearby, it's worth a visit. I had the chicken chop with fries and it's great because the chicken actually tastes fresh and tender and juicy. Coleslaw was middle of the road but presentation and serving size was good enough for a hungry soul.

Decent coffeeshop at Casa Clementi. When I was there, saw a long q for mixed vege rice. Stalls opened - Mala, Malay, indian, western food, roasted meat.

Nice clean airy setting in residential estate. Western food is good. Zichar stall is the smallest I've seen but very busy.

New Bak Chor Mee stall opened at Clementi Ave 1. Their signboard already attracted many residents around the hood like me wanting to give it a try. . Aside from the Fishball Noodles, Minced Meat Noodles, BCM, I would recommend trying their Supreme Signature Noodle ($5.00) A bowl filled with minced pork, sliced pork, pig’s liver, meatball, fishball, fish cake and Imitation Abalone. Not wow but a decent bowl. Maybe because they lack the braised mushroom and pork lard. They do have Laksa too which I am going to try it next time. .
