Scam alert! Durian is not fresh at all

This is the worst durian stall I have ever patron in my whole life in Singapore ! We visited the Kovan Stall on 10 July 2022. We including other customers were all looking at the durians and suddenly One of the staff should be from China ?? with tattoo on his hand, he shouted and say “会讲华文的来着里，讲英文的去后面”！Direct translate means those who can speak Chinese stand here( in front of him) and order from him, those who speak English go behind. When my parents picked the durians they wanted and guy help us to open and halfway my mum pointed that out one of the durian doesn’t look good , the China guy then asked back my mum “你会吃完榴莲的吗？！不会吃不要紧，会还钱就好”！ Direct translate means “You know how to eat durian or not ?! Don’t know how to eat it’s ok , know how to pay can le”! In the end we still bought the durians, while my father was queuing for our durians to be packed into the styrofoam boxes, I told another young male stuff that his colleagues was being rude and all he said was “my lady boss over there, you go and tell her” and walk off like that?!?! My kind mother asked me to let the matter rest because she is afraid that the China Guy might loses his job. THIS KIND OF ATTITUDE IS UNACCEPTABLE ! ?????

Scam alert! Beware when buying durian from this place specially if you are not a seasoned durian buyer. The staff will grab the heaviest or biggest durian available and chop you like a carrot. Claimed to be exported durian priced at $38.00 per kg when it taste just like those $10.00 per kg. Attitude of staff very bad too. Lexus durian.. more like toyota!

Went to Kovan branch. There is 3 durian stalls under same brand (for what I know) 1st purchase opposite star of kovan. Durian is ok but not the service. 2nd purchase next to hawker centre of kovan, durian not fresh and not what we expected. Personal preference. Will not recommend...

Spend nearly $100 for 2kg+ MSW. They selling at $38/kg not sure if it’s expensive or reasonable cause I don’t eat much durian. Obvious durian not fresh. Attitude down the drain. Shame if they are Malaysian.

TL;DR: Not good if you're in a rush, and seller will not accept any refunds. Only pay AFTER receiving ur durians and leaving. Only good if you are happy to walk away with the whole durian, or if no other customers in front of you. Packing staff can take around 2-3 mins to pack each durian, so u can expect to wait a long time if many customers in front of u also want their durians packed. Staff can be hostile, defensive, and are poor at service, listening and conflict resolution. Purely transactional. Visited their Kovan stall earlier to buy a MSW durian. Their prices are reasonable, and the young guy knows how to help you select a durian based on your request so product and knowledge was good. Queued about 3 mins, but it takes at most just 1 min for him to find me a durian, and he allowed me to smell it first after he opened it before I decide whether to accept it. All good up to here. However, after durian selection, he asked whether I wanted it opened and packed into a box (I said yes) then a woman asked for payment before he took my durian and directed me to another area more than 3 metres away from their brightly lit stall. There he put my durian into a red basket to join a queue of red baskets waiting for a single guy to open every durian and pack for every customer. All was still good until I realised that this guy took about 3 minutes to open and pack each durian. After waiting for about 15 mins with the queue not moving, I asked whether I could just be refunded so that I could leave. I was told "no refunds after durian has been opened", and that their system was the norm everywhere, and that I have to queue, can't be any faster because "by law". Explained to them that I simply needed to leave. I'm happy to take a partial refund, to which another staff said "这个不是钱的问题" it's just that I have to queue and they are short handed. I highlighted that I was happy to queue and had been in the queue for 15 mins and was not looking to cut the queue. I was not informed beforehand that it would be such a long wait time (and then they told me it's normal). I simply just needed to leave and cannot spend over 30mins just to buy 1 durian. This is not normal to me when I usually buy durians elsewhere where they always pick, open, and pack immediately. Unfortunately this wasn't a very good first experience with them so I'll just go back to my regular durian stall after this, and I usually only pay after receiving my durians packed but gave this shop too much faith this time. Buyers beware.

One of the better lit places for durians but the staff attitude is really bad. Pricing was also on the high side and a bit like a scam….
