★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was pretty skeptical due to the 2.5 stars review! I only eat one meal per day, so I try to go for the best each time and was hoping it won't be a disaster.
Parking was easy and right beside the coffee shop which was spacious. Was there on a Monday evening around 5ish. Ordered their "special limited time only" Fish Head at $12.00. Can't remember fish name.
It was very fresh, no funky odour at all (am ultra sensitive to fishy smell and mud smell), full of collagen goodness. Soup was yummy and didn't left me feeling thirsty due to MSG.
Will return soon to try the rest of the menu, surely it's the red groupa soup on my next visit! The fried fish looks yummy too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was there last night, attracted by the signboard. Tried the double fish at $7. ? Thinking it will be more ?. ? No really alot for $7. The Flour Batter Fish not too bad taste , however the slice fish was very fishy smell, not fresh. The bowl look big only. Soup based also very plain. Not worth the money. If you want fresh fish soup and great value for money , go to 313 KPT COFFEE SHOP , 313A SEMBAWANG DRIVE . You will like it. Nowadays all the signboard look the same , one type printing. Don't be fool. ? Probably save cost . In the older day , they take pride on what they serve and show in thier signboard.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The fish meat portion serve there is reasonable, big and fresh. What is unique with Lian Huat Fish Soup is they offer farm breed Goliath Grouper (龙胆) meat which is firm and tangy. Soup is rich and tasty. Something different to try. Price for Goliath Grouper soup is $10/15. Mix fish is $5/8.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty decent bowl of fish soup. Though priced at SGD6 + 50cents for rice, portion is generous. Fish is very fresh with good amount of vegetables, tofu. Soup a bit on the salty side but still acceptable. Also, service from the staff were good too, pretty nice, polite and friendly guys at the stall.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered a deep sea grouper head soup and enjoyed this soup throughly right to the bone. The meat is chunky with succulent collagen filled skin in a delicious broth. I will definately visit again to try another the fish fillet version. The counter shelf has chunky deep fried fish fillet on display. The shop is located in an industrial building and best to avoid lunch hours of u don't like to queue.
