Really bad customer service. Was asking about the service and he came to lecture and shouted at me on the phone. Poor trading interface. There's many broker out there which have better trading interface. Please avoid, dyod.

I find the staff there arrogant and very unhelpful. When I called up the company that I wanted to know how much I have to make my payment and the gal by the name of Xia Hui from online helpdesk told me only my broker will know. Later, I called up and the person who answered my call just transferred me to another line and I don't even know what happened. Overall, it's a very bad experience. I told Xia Hui because of her I will stop trading with Lim and Tan Securities and she said go ahead.

My mother has been trading with this company for 25+ years, and recently decided to move to online trading from phone trades. She made a successful trade online, but there was no information in the online trading system on how much the total due would be after handling fees. Even the trade history wasn’t available after the next working day. Nothing was sent to her email, and the statement didn’t show up in the mail after a few days (probably festive period mail delays), so she contacted her broker to check how much was due. Since we were leaving for a short trip, we figured she could make payment at an airport atm, but turns out there are no OCBC(the linked bank account) atms in terminal 4. We replied to the broker’s WhatsApp message to inform him that we’ll make payment when we’re back just 2 days later, and he rudely responded β€œuhm it’s already overdue”. He then insisted that we sell off the purchased shares. Even if you’re communicating via WhatsApp or text, you need to remain professional. And the basic rule of client service is never to blame to customer, but try to help them solve their issues. We’d taken the initiative to find out how much to pay, when it was a failure on their part to not inform us. Why can’t they be a bit more accommodating to a long-time client, and put in a note that payment will be made 2 days later, especially when it’s their mistake to not send the invoice to her email at least in the first place?
