Had my new car coated by Lucky Car Polish a year back and I will like to review on it after a year's use. My car was sent in for their premium coating of 10layers, 3days after collection and paid SGD1300 for it. The coating is still evident after a year has passed. However, due to work concerns, I have not been driving the car as much. Till date for reference, from having the coating done, I have clocked an approximate 11,000 km. Car washes, through the year, were done in petrol kiosks around our island. Having mentioned the above, it really does not justify my 2stars rating. The reason for my 2stars is purely on their level of service standard that I have received AFTER my coating was done. 1) I have had to return for some spots touchup, no issue. Happens to the best vendors. 2) Customers were supposed to receive a 'before and after' measure of their coatings' thickness to proof that a good 10layers were done on my car. I was told, they had forgotten but assured the completion. 3) Requested a debadge, of which they too had forgotten and my knowledge only on the night of collection. Small issue and returned for the debadging after several days to 1week to allow setting of the coat. Guess what, there were no coating lumps around the debadged letterings. I wonder if layers were ever done! 4) Paying car washes, for members, can only be done with appointment but is always not available as they are busy with detailing works. 5) Personally, felt that repair works are deemed unwelcomed as calls made to the owner, even after the repair works were quoted upon, were never arranged. Calls were made again for an arranged timing but were kept on his 'waiting list' till this day. The 2stars is given, purely, to the coating product(s) used on my car and none, at all, given to the service standard of Lucky Car Polish. For having paid that amount, I would have expected better overall after-sales service. Time came, and passed, for my car's yearly maintenance of which a text was sent to remind me of their promotional price for members and all. This text only served to remind how their service was and is to be ignored. My maintenance was sought from another vendor who actually provided service of standard even though it meant another grand or two being spent.

Close to four months, car looks great. Great product, easy to maintain. Lastly, kudos to their dedicated staffs.

I had used their services over the years for 4 vehicles, and the quality of the product is good. However, the boss is hopeless. A simple request for receipt so that I can submit to the insurance company for insurance claim is never fulfilled despite repeated reminders for a year. This wasn't a one off incident, it happened to two of my vehicles over a period of 4 years. As a result, I wasn't able to claim for the recoating of a new PPS for the repainted surfaces. Further to that, discounts were not honored. I did not dispute further as I see the value in the product.
