Cosy place to chill and have tasty toast accompanied with awesome drinks. Tried all the items in their toast menu (rated according to my preference, 1: highest; 4: not as high but still good) 1 - Brioche grilled cheese 2 - Chocolate babka 3 - Cinnamon brioche 4 - Avocado brioche toast Definitely worth a try!

Got myself a hot latte and the avocado toast, I really enjoyed both of them especially the toast. The space and ambience are beautifully made. Nice latte art as well thanks to the superwoman barista.

Nice to have another good coffee option near our house! The coffee was excellent! I had a flat white and my husband had the honey butter since he's not a big coffee drinker (the sweetness and butter cuts down on any strong coffee flavor). We tried all their toast flavors and enjoyed them all, especially the avocado toast and grilled cheese. The avocado toast has a ton of avocado and cilantro on it and the lime really brightens it up. I could eat this every day!! My only gripe is that only the grilled cheese is actually "toasted" (or grilled?). The others are simply fresh sliced brioche, and while really good, they are not "toast". I felt the brioche with the avocado toast could benefit from being toasted though, since the bread itself is soft and didn't hold the avocado well. I lost a couple pieces to the floor after it flopped over and ended up just using a fork and knife. Next time I come back I will ask if they can toast the bread a bit and see if it helps :)

I came here for breakfast and had Grilled Cheese which was crispy but enjoyingly soft! The toast is heavily loaded with gooey melted cheese. It's a must-try item. However, the place is rather small hence you should be ready to wait in line before coming in.

Love this new little coffee shop in Depot Heights that not only has good eats but makes coffee for a cause. Every coffee purchased they donate $0.50 to support 3 refugees. Highly recommend the coffee, tasty brioche bread and AMAZING Nutella stuffed sea salt cookies!

“Mad Rooster” it isn’t! Don’t make the logo let you forget “Mad RoAster” is a place to get coffee and not chicken! Located right around the corner from “Bailey & Whiskey” (read our review to know about that incredible hidden gem of a cafe which doesn’t even serve alcohol!) this cafe and another that just opened a few shops away is making Depot Heights a “hidden caffeine strip!” The minimalistic white and black theme from outside the cafe extends inside and is accentuated with some warm wood bathed in warm yellow light. Plant boxes dangling from the ceiling with rope lights and nice music round-out a tiny cafe vibe. The walls are bare and the ceiling high making this tiny place feel much bigger & finer than what you would expect from outside. The feeling of an unexpected ‘aha’ as you step inside was echoed by many other customers as we heard a couple of walkins who might have just stumbled into the cafe for the first time exclaim “oh nice!” as they entered. The cafe offers casual seating for 12-15 people along both the sides with flexible tables that can be rearranged instantly for seating singles to couples to families. Coming to the coffee, my iced latte was incredibly balanced from the first sip. A light roast it starts just right .. enough to awaken your tongue, turns a tad more robust with notes that alternate gently between woody & fruity as it passes through your palette, leaving behind a very light aftertaste much like the splash of cool jungle stream water on a rock. The highlight of the bakery selection is the brioche, which is available in Cinnamon and Chocolate versions. It’s one of the best we’ve had! Fresh, soft and bouncy - flavourful layers of darker dough make patterns that are edged within crust that is notch more crispy than bread. Each bite leaves behind a gentle sweetness and a lingering flavour that gets refreshed by the next sip of coffee getting your palette ready for another explosion of flavour in your mouth. While they are great accompaniment to the coffee for your taste buds, they also add an olfactory ambient. As the baristas warm up the brioche for you in the kitchen behind the counter the cafe fills with the aroma of warm chocolate or cinnamon adding to the already amazing cafe vibe. (You can also buy a loaf of brioche for later or as a gift for someone.) Definitely stop by this hidden cafe for some amazing coffee, brioche and chill cafe vibes. (Our ice latte was served in a plastic disposable even when I was dining-in. Maybe they don’t keep glasses but I hope they will shift to glasses to reduce plastic pollution) ? I hope they also start serving water. Serving water is not expensive or inconvenient but just thoughtful especially in the hot Singapore weather while also helping reduce some plastic bottles waste ?

Honey butter latte is so so good! And the kimchi grilled cheese toast is delicious. Will definitely be back to try out the different items on the menu. Of course, the social cause in using variation of the logo designed by refugees is an added bonus. Great food and coffee, plus good cause. What else to ask for?
