Make Room - 20a Amoy St

We worked with Barbara & Niamh on our first ever renovation project and couldn't be happier. From the start we knew they were the right team to work with as they were receptive, enthusiastic and practical. They perfectly captured my (very long) list of requirements that I've been dreaming up for 10+ years. I am a firm believer that you really need to like like your Interior Designer team as you talk to them almost every day for months on end and the entire Make Room team were a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. They very patiently worked through my endless request for minor changes as I slowly turned into a home renovation version of a Bridezilla. In the end even managed to deliver the project a few days ahead of time despite copious new Covid restrictions. We are incredibly satisfied with how our dream home turned out and constantly get compliments from anyone who visits.

I worked with Barbara and Make Room on 3 different projects - each one increasingly important! Started off with renovating a shophouse used for my company's office. At the same time, my husband and I were moving to a large rental - I was 7 months pregnant, we had no furniture and we needed to make the place feel like "ours" - especially for our soon-to-be-born daughter. Fast forward 3 years and we engaged Barbara to do a gut renovation on our first apartment purchase - a good sized two-level penthouse that needed a lot of work. We were so happy with the end result -- all our visitors were very impressed with our home :-) (The portfolio is on the website - check it out ;-) ) We have moved back to the US and, sadly, sold our condo. The new owners love the apartment - a testament to Make Room's style :-) We are renovating a house now and we miss working with Barbara and the lovely Make Room Team. Truly a special vision! Niamh and Will helped us re-create our hall and bedrooms. The whole experience was great - Niamh especially was open-minded, listened to our needs and pushed the envelope with us. The suggestions look great, and most importantly are really practical. :)

We selected Make Room for a major renovation project for our new apartment, including interior design and styling. We truly enjoyed working with the Make Room team, and we are delighted with the result. They really understood what we wanted, provided a lot of options, came with relevant new ideas and suggestions, and managed to source high-quality materials for reasonable prices (from all over the world!). The overall project management was also tight, with amazing attention to detail, and great communication throughout the project. We'd certainly use them again, and have already been recommending them to several other people!

This was my first time working with an interior design company so was a little nervous about the outcome to begin with. We moved into a larger condo unit in May and we all (incl. husband & daughter) wanted to do justice to the space we were moving into. I chose Make Room as I liked their work shown on Instagram and felt their pricing framework was more viable than other companies I'd looked at. Will was an absolute pleasure to work with - very knowledgeable and reassuring. He worked with all our individual requirements for the various rooms, guiding us when we were vague and literally brought the place to life. Sandy was also brilliant with the procurement, keeping me informed all the way and helping to resolve a few delivery glitches. All in all a great experience with Make Room!

We started our renovation in the middle of the COVID lockdown. The design process was extremely helpful in sorting out what we wanted and what was appropriate. Work went very well in spite of the difficult labour situation and wee ended up on time, on budget. Top marks to Make Room for a project well done. Delighted with the results!

Niamh made everything and the experience so easy! The team has been wonderful, knowledgeable and super friendly. Never thought I could live in one of those houses in the Home & Decor magazine! Highly recommended!
