Good food, great ambience and excellent service. Love the decor and vibe. Highly recommend for gatherings. Book in advance to avoid disappointment especially on Friday night. It was nearly impossible to have an early dinner on Friday night, but thanks to Caden who called us back about a last minute cancellation, we could enjoy a nice family dinner. Will be back again!

Made a reservation thru Amex love dining concierge service on the same day for late lunch and the only restaurant that had availability. Was looking forward as I haven't been to Gillman Barracks in ages. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the service staff which was nice but everything else just went downhill from there. Waiter A asked how many pax we were, I told him we had a reservation, and he asked the same question again and I had to repeat that we had a reservation and he then proceeded to find my name on the computer. He then led us to our table by trying to squeeze thru between other tables when we were pushing our stroller. In the end, we had to detour and walk around instead. And he still asked us to "follow him". As we settled in our table we asked another waiter B if there were any exclusions for the Amex promo, he gave us the wrong info by saying that only the mains are on offer and the rest including appetizers and desserts are not applicable. I had to ask him if he was sure and he repeated the info. To which I asked waiter A and he totally contradicted what waiter B said. So waiter B didn't even get his facts right. We proceeded to order our mains - duck pasta with prosciutto, linguine vongole and a carrot cake as an appetizer to share because waiter A raved about it and highly recommended to us. We were expecting some umami out of this world carrot cake. When it came, it was like the one you buy from the foodcourt but obviously plated much nicer. And that cost $12. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't good to justify that price point and there were no prawns in there either. When our pastas came, we were raring to dig in. Truth be told, I was appalled by the first bite of the pasta. It's supposed to be "freshly handmade" but it's definitely not. You can tell because the pasta just falls apart. There's no springyness in the pasta. It feels like it's been left in the refrigerator for too long and when you boil it, it becomes hard and brittle. Both pastas were a disappointment. To be fair, the sauce bases weren't bad but the poor texture of the pasta just killed it. Halfway through our meal, waiter A came back to our table and asked how's the carrot cake. We replied that it tasted normal. He then said that "oh, alot of foreigners came here and they love this!" My jaw just dropped. Do I look like a foreigner to you? Obviously I didn't say that. Why rave about how good the carrot cake is when it's just normal carrot cake. In a nutshell, this is at best 3 / 5 stars. Service staff really seems more like part timers and are not intuitive when refilling water. Pastas are rubbish. Maybe the other dishes might be better but it'll be a long long time before I ever go back there again. Probably the only thing great abt the place is the ambience. The rest just pales in comparison.

A nice place for dinner. They serve an award winning Peccavi Cabernet Sauvignon which was one smooth red wine. The food that we ordered were generally very good too.

Convenient parking area within open car park. Having both indoor and outdoor dining tables. Nice environment and cozy decorated. Had happy hour drinking session. Tenderloin tasted nice and tender. Food serving was fast too. Suitable for families as well as business association and couples. Will return for other meals.

Had a nice dinner with wife and kids at this black and white bungalow restaurant hidden in Gillman Barracks off Alexandra. They served both Asian and Western cuisines and we had BBQ chicken leg, fish & chip, pizza and sweet & sour pork with rice. The food was served hot and the portion was just nice... We round off the dinner with dessert chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream and creme brulee. Overall a great dinner with nice ambience.

We ordered the greek salad, calamari and garlic bread as starters. The calamari was good & garlic bread was fantastic. For the mains, we had the House Special pizza and Tenderloin steak. The pizza was good, but the tenderloin was overcooked. (We specifically told the waiter medium, but it came well-done) The dining environment is very nice and conducive for long dinners and great conversations. We will be back!
