★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very decent chicken rice, tenderness of chicken to fragrantness of rice and gingery kick of chilli. Even the vegetables served has pride, same goes for the braised egg. Wholesome meal when i recollect the feeling of this lunch which merely set back at $5. Wonderful, will be back. Skip the queues across other stalls and go for this! =)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I feel like this dish must be comfort food to locals. Because it didn’t really register with me. It tastes good, but at the end of the day it’s just boiled chicken and rice with a few slices of cucumber. Apparently the rice is boiled in chicken stock and doused with soy sauce, which makes it creamier, but it doesn’t really justify waiting 30 minutes in line. The chef is also working by himself and so the presentation suffers. It’s a very sloppy looking dish.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very crowded chicken rice stall at night. I ordered Hainan chicken rice and find it above average. Rice is ok, chilli is sweeter and chicken is juicy. But still cannot on par with my favourite Tian Tian chicken rice stall during lunch st the same venue

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ended up here after seeing Tian Tian closed. It turned out to be quite good!
The portion was reasonable for the price. Chicken was tender, and the rice was flavourful. The owner aka cook was very friendly and patient.
One downside is that it took quite a while to get your dish, and normally there’ll be a REALLY LONG line.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious and affordable Hainese chicken rice. Went on a Saturday night at 9pm and no wait. Got my food in 10 minutes. Goes super well with any of the drinks next stall over. Highly recommend.
