Potato curry puff, mee hoon soto and nasi goreng ayam - possibly the best I’ve ever had in SG!!

Lontong gravy is watery & tastes diluted, without the rich coconut flavour I was hoping for. Ketupat is thinly sliced and breaks easily, and tastes bland (doesn’t seem to soak up any gravy flavour). Somewhat disappointing.

Nasi Lemak was a joke ….. ordered via online platform for delivery and it came with 1 fried egg, 1 hot dog and 1 piece of fried chicken. 2 halves of a peanut in the Sambal Chilli and absolutely no Ikan Bilis, rice was gluey and clumped together. Even the Cheap convenience store Nasi Lemak was better than this. Cannot recommend at all.

Super dishonest owner. I asked if she still had nasi leak because every other stall had sold out. She said 'yes', so I ordered it. On the board, it's priced at $3.80 and she charged me $4.50. Fine, whatever; perhaps it's a bigger portion. When the dish came, the only thing nasi lemak about it was the rice. So I told her again that I ordered nasi lemak and she tried to lie that it was nasi lemak. So I asked her about the chicken wing, the fried egg, ikan bilis and peanuts. Her reply? 'Oh we sold out'. I asked her why she said she still had it when I asked her specifically if she still had nasi lemak and she just blew me off. I had already paid digitally, otherwise I wouldn't have paid at all and walked away. I can't imagine how much clearer I could have been asking if she had nasi lemak but the thing that's so disappointing is that she tried to lie to me that what she was trying to sell me (at an increased price!) was nasi lemak.

By chance, I came across this stall and saw, malay epok-epok (curry puff ) . I went there around 3.30pm where she was frying the potato epok-epok (kentang in malay) . Too bad that day she did not do the sardine version which is my favourite too. I love the way she pack her take away epok- epok , someone order 20 pieces ?. Each epok-epok cost $0.70 cents only and is super delicious, sardine also $0.70. She do sells other things but I can't comment any of her other food as I only ate her epok-epok because I arrived after lunch time hehehehe. I really love the piping hot epok-epok, just so happened that she was frying it. Nice to eat during tea time with a glass of hot Tea-Tarik. So if you are a fan of malay epok-epok do give it a try.??
