Portion size getting crazy small. Posted what a $3 looks like. Argued with me as well when I complained about portion. Won't eat here again.

Carrot cake this portion for $3 each plate. Not tasty too. Used to like this stall for the uncle is sincere and friendly. Gonna boycott from now on.

This is probably one of the best carrot cake around with huge chunks of carrot cake. The owner is very friendly. I ordered the $3 and regretted as the portion is not big. Come early as they close early. Some review say they close at 10:30am.

This is the carrot cake, long waiting time and check out the portion, just 3 big mouthfuls for $3. If the cost is high, then suggest seller to increase the price. This portion is not enough to fill the stomach.

I cannot believe the portion of my $3.50 fried carrot plate!!! It is ridiculously small in a wet market food center. I did asked the male boss why it is so, he said food court are selling $4 or $5 more? I guess this is my first and last eating this stall.

Updated When I thought that the portion is small the last time I visited, this time even worst. Probably 2-3 mouthful portion. No wonder there is no queue and they served our order right away. This will likely be my last time visiting the stall. Old Post This is one of my favorite carrot cake stalls when I were staying around the area when I first bought a resale flat here. The dark fried carrot cake is my choice but I do realized that the portions seemed to get smaller and smaller over the years. A $3 plate is probably 3-4 mouthful portions and it's about halved of what the other carrot cake stalls would have served. Nevertheless, taste is still good despite of the small portion.

Mei Ling Street (Handmade) Carrot Cake serves up one of the best Fried Carrot Cake but has very limited opening hours. The lack of a queue is often mistaken by many that it is available immediately but if one opens their eyes, they will see many seated around the stall waiting for their order. The stall closes early when it sells out, which is common on weekdays to see them closing at 9am with order taking stopped by 8:30am. Things do improve slightly on weekends when it is still available till 9:30am. The Fried Carrot Cake here is made from their own handmade radish cake and not factory supplied. The Fried Carrot Cake is really fragrant and yummy and it is especially enhanced when ordered with egg added. Between the Black or White options, the White options is better with chili. Tasted not bad for black carrot cake. I like it sweet. Unlike machine cut, the carrot cake is irregularly cut, texture is nicer. Can be customised by asking the boss to cook more crispy or add more dark sauce. However, note the portion is very very small for $3. Eat it as a side when you buying other food.
