β β β β β A cheap alternative to eating in a restaurant. The only zhi char place in the vicinity. Be prepared to wait for the food. Came here for my favorite Hokkien noodles in black sauce. It is always good.

β β β β β Food is pretty nice to be very honest. But pricing wise is already on the high side. What is worse is that they start charging us for takeaways which is making the price more ridiculous. For the same food, Malaysia Boleh comes with egg and cost even lower than what Mei Mei is selling. Dynasty is also another optimal choice too.
I would strongly suggest the boss of this business to look into this issue since you will lose alot of clients to Malaysia Boleh and Dynasty. All taste pretty nice but Mei Mei's one is the most expensive especially the additional take away charges making things worse!

β β β β β Most of their dishes are not even up to zi cha standard. Spent $40 for 3 pax but the most horrible meal ever, none of the dishes made it. Rice was the best by relative comparison. Wonβt ever visit again.

β β β β β Went this evening to purchase 3 items costing $4, $5 and $5.50 which amounted to a total of $14.50. I provided 4 pcs of CDC cash vouchers, valued at $2 each, to a male stall helper and handed him $10 cash to pay the difference. There was an aunty (also a stall helper) who saw that and told the male helper to accept only 2 vouchers and to return me the other 2 and asked me to pay $10.50 in cash instead. Obviously I was surprised and asked her why she couldnβt accept 4 vouchers but took 2 instead. She retorted that no change would be given back for any unused amount. I explained to her that there was no change needed since I was maximising the value of the vouchers. She didnβt accept what I said and this went on for some time until another customer (who had just placed his order) took out $10 in small denominations to change it with me and told me to just hand her the required balance and not to waste time arguing with her (he apparently understood what I was trying to tell her). This stall also started charging for takeaways which they did not pre-Covid. Food is not great too. Anyway, I just wanted to share my experience. Due to the current pandemic, F&B in restaurants, hawker centres, foodcourts and coffee shops have been badly impacted and we have been encouraged to help people in this industry by eating out or tabao home, however, I have seen many such establishments displaying very bad and rude attitudes, so should we still feel sorry for them?

β β β β β I have eaten better hor fun either mix or beef version at Mei mei a few time. Mei Mei is a neighbourhood seafood stall at Hola coffee shop in Simei. But my hot fun was quite a big disappointment. For once, my hor fun is cold. The gravy or sauce over It is barely warm. Just like a thin under coat. My additional order of a sunny side on my hor fun look like the abandoned one from the earlier evening lots. It is cold and the Yolk is over done. The only consolation is that my beef slice is still tender but lesser now. The green r still generous. For that they redeem for themselves a little faith from me. Will I come back again, look out for my future Mei Mei posting.
