First time trying Eng’s wanton mee. Had the $5 big portion. Ingredients not as much as I have expected. However, can be compensated by the taste which is good. Soup is pretty delicious. Noodles are springy. Constant crowd during peak hours.

Tasty and fresh noodles. QQ, smooth and delicious. Ordered the Dry you mian (幼面)set plus prawn Ngoh Hiang side dish. Taste good! Even for the small bowl of vege soup that comes with it taste good too! Chilli is self service depending on how much you wish to add. . Don't add too much chilli flakes first as it's pretty spicy! Thumbs up. 5/5 stars

FYI don't bother and waste money to add noodles which cost additional $1 on top of $5.50. Basically they didn't even add and cheat ur money. Bcos I always order $5.50 big size in the past without adding noodles. But today I thou of adding $1 noodles. The portions is exactly the same as $5.50 order. Felt so cheated.

This is a feedback that the standard dropped compared to Plaza Singapura outlet. The wanton is all smash up and the filling came out of the skin. And all the wanton stick together. As I’ve told my friends how good is the noodles. Anyway I won’t be patronising there again.

Not the type of noodles usually used for wantan mee. It was thicker and less savoury. Soup was OK but got thirsty soon (probably from usage of monosodium glutamine). Wantan had more skin than meat (a large serving has 6 wantans). The cut green chilly in vinegar is nice and tangy. Optional is a fiery chilly sauce, again not part of wantan culture in other countries like Hong Kong or Malaysia. Nonetheless it was cheap & filling. Popular at meal times.

Decided to try Eng’s again after a long personal break. The taste is actually similar to last time and consistent. The negatives are in the type of noodles they use now. It’s thick, softer and soggy. I can mash the individual strands easily with my spoon. Hopefully they bring back the original noodles from last time. Until then, eat somewhere else. The taste of the soup also changed. Miss the old version.

This is a long time favorite even though some people find it average. It has tasty noodles and meaty succulent wanton. Beware the chili ? sauce which is extremely hot, unless you can take it. Recommended for all serious Wanton Mee lovers.

Didn’t expect to find a Eng’s Wanton Noodle outlet here. It’s a rather well known wanton noodle brand and many people would be familiar with the outlet at Tanjong Katong. Personally, it’s that familiar taste and texture that makes me go back for their food. This outlet at Eastpoint Mall basement also has Wu Xiang Xia Bing or Five Spice Prawn Fritters that is fresh and well done.
