Preordered 4 dim sum sets (the day before) which came 1 hour late as per the agreed timing. Staff did not respond or update me on delivery status despite me asking numerous times. Terrible time management and overall disappointing experience. Food was cold and soggy when it arrived

I would give a zero star if I could because they have to worse customer service ever! I placed a food delivery order that was supposed to arrive at 630 pm. However, the food did not turn up. I tried calling them multiple times in total an no one picked up at all. That is not the worse, after multiple attempts they cut my call every time I tried calling. In the end, the food arrived at 8 pm and the delivery man was not even apologetic at all. I am utterly disappointed with such a service. It is truly not acceptable.

The kitchen is too small to cope with excessive orders. My friends and I ordered 3 main dishes but only 1 was served; the remaining 2 were not even acknowledged by the kitchen. We also ordered their signature abalone siew Mai but it also not served. We waited 25 mins for our first dish to be served. Each interval was 15 - 20mins. End up we became full because of the waiting time. I will not recommend for a second visit unless their kitchen is bigger and service is more efficient.

First time posting on Google but just had to share my poor experience so that others don't have to go through it. Tried the lunch set and was sorely disappointed. The young waiter serving our table seemed new to the and job unsure, and not able to give us any information when questioned about the menu or the tea. Did not inform us that tea was refillable until we asked a more senior staff. Food was average. Dimsums were dry and unappetizing, very disappointing for a restaurant that was supposedly famous for its dimsum. The skin of the hargow was tough, and the skin of the xiao long baos were broken. Their signature teas were just teas emptied from a tank, not freshly brewed not with the flowers or tea leaves as shown in their menu. "It is just for show", the young waiter explained when I asked. Worse of all, the glasses used to contain the tea were stained. I don't think they cleaned the glasses properly, which is so unhygienic. I have posted a picture in the photos section if any one wish to take a look. Parting gift was a mask which is a nice gesture but the mask was very thin and transparent. Will never go back again. Wished I had looked at the reviews in detail before patronising. Please save your money for the better value lunch sets in any of the other restaurants in Chijmes, it will not be difficult to find a better place that gives you a better experience.

took buffet at $32/pax ++ menu was not the one shown online on their Facebook and Chope. the menu was very watered down to about 30 dishes including the noodles/rice and dessert (only 3 types of mochi offered as dessert) for buffet, dim sum are ordered in per piece. truffle carrot cake - was mushy, although truffle taste was present whisky fish soup - whisky was a nice touch but the soup and the fish were extremely salty. inedible. tomato beef lamien - tasted like italian pasta sauce. the menu showed fried egg but it came with a braised egg. egg had a very hard membrane and yolk that was supposed to appear half boiled turned out mushy and black - like it was frozen. prawn ball and spring wall were both huge and crispy, but otherwise tasteless. fried custard bun was very thick and hard. truffle xiao long bao - it can be called truffle wanton. there’s no soup in the so- called xlb at all, and was very dry. abalone siew mao sauce was very salty was well. mostly this was an integrity issue - Chope sold vouchers for this place stating that its original price for buffet is $70 and thus were offering the vouchers at $35, 50% discount. however when asked, the outlet claims that the buffet is $32++. while the vouchers may claim a β€œpremium tea buffet” there was no tea menu at all. ala carte or buffet, they gave us the same 30 dish menu with no alternative desserts nor dishes that had featured online and in their promotional pictures. the only saving grace was their young and inexperienced but very friendly and helpful waitress who was patient in assisting us. disappointing experience.

The menu looks good but when we went today for the lunch buffet the price is 36 sgd and 40 sgd if you want tea. The servers did not tell us dessert items were sold out. Food took very long to arrive and alot of the dishes are deep fried. We ordered dessert but later were informed only 2 out of their 6 items for dessert were available. This is very annoying, why serve buffet then, they should disclose the sold out items as soon as they talked through the menu with us, mind you we were there at 12 pm till 130pm so I don't understand how things are sold out, they obviously didn't even prepare the desserts. Would not recommend this place.

Not recommended for the buffet. The food is unremarkable. The only saving grace is the tea. If you really really must eat here (but I don’t know why you would), then try the prawn ball or the fried oyster.

Pretty new place in Chijmes. Dropped by for lunch, and was pleasantly surprised. As a Chijmes outlet with sheltered outdoor seating, it's a pretty chill place to relax in even with the noontime heat (the large cooling fan machine thingy helps). Plus it's currently being overlooked by most as a lunchtime spot so it's relatively quiet. The remixes of pre-war Chinese songs aren't terrible and complement the atmosphere well. I had their set lunch for pork belly lamian + xiaolongbao & tea. I'm no food connoisseur but the noodles were delightful & the perfectly cooked fatty meat melted in my mouth. Xiaolongbao wasn't amazing but was pretty decent. The tea was...just tea I guess? I can't for the life appreciate tea even with the fancy names they gave the different teas in the menu. It definitely tastes and smells better than the free flow tea at budget (and some not budget) establishments though. Plus the refills are free. Ordered a honeydew sago for dessert. It went easy on the sugar compared to normal honeydew sago from normal dessert stalls, but still retained a nice sweet taste. The fruit pieces are cantaloupe instead of, y'know, honeydew, but I like cantaloupe better anyway, and the chef managed to pick the softer, sweeter ones, so hey. The set lunch should set you back a few bucks less than $20 for the $15+ sets, which is on the cheap side for a Chijmes restaurant. It's also more than enough to fill your belly.
