MLC Education - O, A Level, H1 & H2 Chemistry Tuition

Mr Lau was my tutor for H2 Chem from 2017 to 2018. He is very knowledgeable in his area of expertise and can answer any if not all the questions posed by his ~60 students. He is also able to plan out the best method of teaching his students for them to gain the most knowledge within the constrained time periods he has with us. I am most thankful for the amount of work he puts into creating notes for us especially, as they have really aided me so much in my learning of chem. Overall, even the attitude he has towards his students is good, as he expects both himself and the student to work hard to achieve the aim of a good chem result. I am personally very thankful of the thought he has put into my learning, which is what makes him a great chem tutor.

Mr lau is one of the best chem tutor i've met. He explains concepts that are easily misunderstood clearly and emphasise on important points that i may overlook making chemistry much easier to understand. He also provides really useful notes which summarises the key points making it easier for us to revise. Not only is he great at teaching, he also understands the different strengths and weaknesses of his student and he has great rapport with his students. Even though I was retaking my A levels without any support from school, i breezed through chemistry easily because of Mr Lau's guidance. He would provide test papers and numerous resources for me to practice on my own to prep me as i did not have access to mid years and prelims like other students. All in all Mr Lau is just a great chem tutor and I enjoyed lessons with him! You can definitely trust him to help you achieve quality grades.

Mr Lau was my Chemistry tutor when i was preparing for my Alevels. Initially, chemistry wasnt a subject i look forward to during lessons as its always so confusing and there's too many things to remember. However, under Mr Lau's guidance, ive soon learnt how to tackle chemistry. He helped me to understand each concept thoroughly instead of purely memorising them. This enabled me to better understand and manage tougher topics later on. Mr Lau also supplemented us with his own notes during lessons that helped me so much when answering questions as each question/pointers he go throughs or say in class was essential in helping us answer questions and maximising marks from each question that we do. Even though his lessons may be fast, he never compromise each student's understanding. Mr Lau is definitely one of the most inspiring teachers ive met throughout my JC life. He is someone who is willing to go the extra mile to help you as long as we put in the hardwork. Under his guidance, my grades improved tremendously. Hence, i will strongly recommend Mr Lau as a chemistry tutor if yall are looking to join a good chemistry tuition!

Mr Lau was my tutor from J1 to J2 and he is very knowledgeable and taught me tricks to solve chemistry questions efficiently. Together with the countless practice questions, I was able to grasp the topic well under his guidance. Mastering difficult questions was possible with his tips, especially his summary books that provided concise yet essential information when revising. Also, he would always make sure that everyone in on track during the lesson by going around to see how each and everyone of us is coping and helping us personally. With his help, I saw tremendous improvement in my chemistry grades!

I’ve always struggled in grasping the concept of chemistry, but it was eliminated once I came to Mr Lau. He helped me understand chemistry instead of relying on memory work. This really helped me pick up new concepts faster and made revision much easier. I’m not gonna lie but sometimes his lessons do be kinda quick and I may miss or am unclear of certain explanation HAHAHAHHA. Luckily, his lessons are recorded so during long school breaks or before CCA I can visit the MLC website and rewatch the lesson recording (exclusively for MLC students only!!) I also struggled with my j1 topics but thankfully, Mr Lau offers unlimited AND FREE consultations along with last minute revision courses or crash courses before examinations. As I have taken part in these courses, I can tell you that it was honestly really comforting to be given solid 2-4 hours a week to focus on the selected topics with professional help. The tips and tricks shared really stayed with me all the way. This is just a mini plus point but if you’re hungry during lesson, MLC actually has a free flow snack corner for the students to snack on HAHAHAHA ALL IN ALL, Mr Lau is a really fun teacher and he made chemistry lessons enjoyable for me. Despite his strictness, his constant care can be real comforting, especially during intense time periods like before prelim or As. If you are looking for a chem tutor, Mr Lau is your guy no cap

Chemistry has always been one of my favourite subjects yet I struggled with learning difficult concepts and attempting questions after lectures. This discouraged me at times and made me question whether i truly enjoyed the subject. Through MLC and Mr Lau’s teaching, I was able to solidify my foundation in Chemistry through the bountiful resources available and the simplistic way Mr Lau educated his students in order for them to be fully capable in handling the bulk of the syllabus. I started appreciating the subject more as it became second nature for me to recall reactions, common question types, and the strategic ways to answering a diversity of questions. I enjoyed interactive lessons were Mr Lau would pose us thought-provoking chemistry problems that allowed us to correct misconceptions and clarify our doubts. He is a teacher that is extremely devoted to his students, their goals, and their progress in learning the subject. :)

Back in JC, Chemistry was my weakest subject and I struggled a lot during my J1 year. However, with Mr Lau’s help I managed to understand and enjoy Chemistry lessons. His teaching methods are easy to understand and effective which helped me to improve multiple grades in just half a year! He is a dedicated teacher and never fails to make class enjoyable for us. I am very thankful to have joined MLC and I definitely recommend it to everyone!

At the start of J1, I found it hard to understand chemistry because of my weak foundation. No matter how hard I tried, I still faced difficulties when trying to grasp certain concepts. I then decided to seek help from Mr Lau and he has helped me in many ways. Mr Lau’s method of teaching helped me look at things from a different perspective, which made it so much easier and quicker for me to learn. His unique way of explaining concepts using analogies made learning chemistry fun and simple for me :) I appreciate the hardwork and care Mr Lau has provided me with and my grades improved substantially after receiving his help.
