Details of visit: Time: 1st January 2022, lunch time, around 2pm. Waiting time: about 10 minutes. There was a relatively long queue but it cleared quite fast. There is another level upstairs which is way larger than the first floor. Service: There was a senior personnel who was very professional and seemed to really enjoy his work, and kept customers at ease. He struck conversations with all the tables. Well done sir. Food: I ordered 4 dishes. I prefer Briyanis with a very heavy taste, hence I steered away from the Dum Briyani which I feel, does not deliver the heavy flavor punch which I like. I therefore took the mutton keema briyani instead. It was FANTASTIC. Every grain was packed with flavour. Some may find it overwhelming but it was exactly what I was looking for. NO gravy required. The butter chicken was decent. The vege dish was a bendi fry (okra). I had better ones before. or maybe this was not to my taste. It was still flavorful but not exactly up my alley. The Naan, was crispy. I did not appreciate this rendition of Naan. In my books, Naans should be soft and fluffy. Beverages: Mango lassi was good. It was very thick.. However, the paper straw used dulled down the experience for such a viscous liquid. Having to suck hard on a paper straw is not a pleasant experience. Also ordered a Masala Tea. It came in a very small cup, and wife finished it even before the food came. 2 gulps full and its gone I suppose. Will definitely come back for the briyani.

Simply superb. Have tried biriyani’s in many restaurants and this is relatively better and yummy. Varieties of biriyani’s and all of taste super good. This is my go to place when I crave for biriyani. Also, masala tea is awesome and not to be missed.

Went with colleague as recommended by him. No regret. Ordered mutton and chicken biryani. Biryani rice is soft n fragrant, unlike others usually very dry taste. Mutton meat is tender. 1 thing to remember, the portion is huge. For small eater, 2 persons can shared 1 serving. Mango lasi, omg, it’s like milk shake… rich flavour ? Price on a high side, but if sharing definitely cheaper. ???

One of my favorite Indian restaurants in Singapore. Foods are of course great and the staff is friendly. Their Biryani is special for me. They serve the best Biriyani in my life so far. For small kids, the Biryani is too spicy. However, they can adjust the spicy level if you inform them in advance. Strongly recommend trying the restaurant.

Compared to the Norris Road outlet, this newer @mrbiryanisg at 11 Chander Road is a lot more spacious, bright and comfortable. It was great to see Mr. Govind, the Founder of the brand, when we took my parents there for an early dinner this evening. We are familiar with the menu and knew quite quickly what to select. First and foremost, the vegetarian Brinjal Dhum Biryani ($9.90++). It was every bit the fabulous flavourbomb we remember and love! Buried in the aromatic, light and fluffy grains of rice were a few round eggplants which had become extremely soft and tasty in the cooking process. If there is one dish I deem a must-try, it would be this. I am forever grateful to my friend S.Z. for introducing my family and I to it during 2020’s Circuit Breaker. The other dish which I feel should not be missed is the Andra Chilli Chicken ($12.90++). I swear breast meat has never been tenderer. Because there’s some serious sorcery with yogurt and spices at work, this incredibly delicious stirfried item can easily convince dark meat lovers to enjoy white meat. All of us are crazy for the Bhindi Masala at Mr. Biryani as well. The thick and luscious gravy which the still-crunchy lady’s fingers come in, is lick-the-bowl-clean worthy. Hence, the importance of ordering a basket of Naan to wipe up every bit. Our pick? The signature Garlic flavour ($4.90++). Another vegetable dish we chose on this visit was the Gobi Manchurian ($10.90++). Deep-fried, the chunky florets of cauliflower came coated in sweet and spicy ginger garlic sauce. While my parents like pairing their food with cold Mango Lassi, T.H. is all about the Masala Tea and had 4 mini glasses in total ($2++ each). Served hot, it is potently fragrant from spices. Thank you Mr. Govind for letting us try the Urad Dal. It seems that Mr. Biryani is the only place in Singapore to offer this nutritious dessert made purely from black lentils. A little coconut cream and cardamom are used to dress it. Such a unique ending to our meal.

After reading the reviews, I decided to scope this place for lunch today. We ordered the lamb shank biryani, Hyderabad chicken dum biryani, mutton roast and fried bindi. I previously lived in Hyderabad, India for a period of 4 years and hence my expectations for biryani are high as Hyderabad has fantastic dum biryani. Both the lamb shank and chicken biryani were excellent and almost as good as the Hyderabad dum biryani. The meat on the lamb shank was very tasty and tender, and so was the chicken which came in a generous portion. The fried bindi was also great. The mutton roast, however, wasn't the best as it was too moist and the meat wasn't as tender as the lamb shank meat. The ambience and service were great. Overall a very good experience, and I would rate the biryani as the best that I have eaten in Singapore. I highly recommend this restaurant for their excellent biryani.

Had a super fantastic time celebrating my friend's birthday at this restaurant. The owner and staff are very customer oriented, we enjoyed the best customer service, even better than in some five stars hotels. I had called in to ask about bringing my own cake prior to the celebration dinner, they're okay as long as it's a halal cake. I handed the cake to the staff and they helped to fridge it while we have the dinner. They are passionate about the food they serving, explained to us patiently when we asked about the difference in the food item and the method of cooking. Every dish is wonderful, is the best of that particular dish I've ever tasted. Portion are huge so it's good to come in a group. We ordered the 2-3 pax set and few extra side dishes, it was good enough to feed 5. After dinner I asked the cake to be served, the staff was very kind to prepare the cake out of the box and even lit the candle before walking to our table. I've been to some restaurants which will just throw me the cake which is still in the plastic bag, no complains as I wouldn't assume it's their responsibility to help me set up the cake which is an "outside food" to them. I would love to do more dinners here, will recommend this place to more Indian food lovers.

One of the best mutton biryani in Singapore. The rice has a nice spicy aroma and is not oily. The mutton is very soft, and the meat is tasty and juicy. Another notable item is masala tea, rich in taste and not too sweet. The interior decor is new and simple but comfortable. The dining area is very bright too, enhancing the eating experience. Long queue during weekends so better to go earlier before mealtime peak hours.
