β β β β β Pretty underrated izakaya. Walked-in at 9pm without any reservations, and luckily got a spare table. Physically, NOMIYA is a small diner, but has a really wide menu.
Good for dinner or even just drinks. Their highballs are strong enough.
I observed that each group of diners usually lingers for around 2 hours.

β β β β β Very beautiful restaurant with great service
Food was great, sashimi was fresh and well prepared. Yuzu sake was very light on the palate that matches well with the food.
Salmon aburi maki was interesting, with the ingredients piled on top, but taste was great.
Oden was good for sharing, may be a good side dish.
Ordered dessert, sea salt ice cream and they were very nice to also offer a complimentary little cold dessert with some sake for a birthday celebration.
Definitely recommend visiting for drinks and small dishes.

β β β β β Located in Chinatown area. A Japanese Izakaya in the middle of Chinatown, strange combination.
Sufficient selection of food for you to ponder what to eat, there were a few main courses and also lots of small bites to choose from.
The main courses were delicious, my pork was tasty. Though the soup was a bit salty. Everything else was good.
The charcoal chicken was very good. And the chicken skin was so crispy that you could finish a few bowls at a go.
The service was prompt and the staff was helping when we were selecting the sake. And the staff was able to recommend the sake to our liking.
The choice of music played was excellent. Loved all the songs played. Maybe the volume was a little bit too loud.
The whole experience was good.
Would love to pop by again.
Strongly recommended!

β β β β β Had a very delightful evening at Nomiya, the clam/scallop and lobster croquette were delicious and flavorful. Beef was a slight miss.
Staff helped us celebrate our anniversary with a Goma Gelato and sake.
Thanks for a good memory!

β β β β β Truffle cold udon was really good! Foie gras chawanmushi was a bit pricey but you do get a nice chunk of foie gras. The skewers were very flavourful though I would have liked a bit more char. We enjoyed every dish that we ordered but a pity the Brussels sprouts were sold out when we went.
Service was superb from the moment we entered right up to when we left. Everyone was friendly, efficient, attentive - special thanks to Lynn, who brought us free oden soup when we had to wait a bit longer for one of our orders.
The place is quite small and fills up quick if there are large groups so do call ahead to reserve!

β β β β β Interesting discovery in Chinatown. Come by for a quick lunch. Food is very yummy and the potion is just nice for my family. Price is is decent for me as dining in a Japanese restaurant. Would come again for dinner to try the skewers and sake. Highly recommended!!!

β β β β β A hidden gem in Chinatown (Singapore) just off Pagoda St - I chose a selection of small bite sized dishes and was immediately blow away by the quality of the food, the size of the dishes and the knowledgeable staff. The combinations they suggested really worked well!! The sake with the oysters (fusion Japanese) was incredible. The pint of Sapporo was refreshing - I could honestly say everything was near perfect. Try the charcoal Chicken and the natural oysters!!

β β β β β I had a good dining experience last night. Usually not a big fan of oysters. I heard good reviews of this restaurant, especially their oysters. I tried it and it was awesome! All the other food that we ordered including the truffle cold noodle was great. The lady who served us yesterday was very knowledgeable and the service was awesome. She took a great effort in checking on us and took the time to explain the different types of sake. I highly recommend and I will come back again :)
