NTUC Health Denticare (previously Unity Denticare) – Orchard (General Dental Treatments, Teeth Whitening, Dental Implants, Dental Braces, Scaling & Polishing)

Doctors there can't do a good job. Just because the dental clinic is kinda packed, he decides to tell me that he is in a rush and no time. Ends up my braces broke after 30 mins. I went back and he told me that he should had used a stopper to prevent me from biting but he should had known about it as I did a mold.

Very unsatisfied patient here. Turned out with pain in my jaw and a undefined pain in my tooth in hope of obtaining a diagnosis for my pain. Was put through a series of x-rays and tests including one where dentist drilled my tooth to evaluate a potential tooth crack only to be told "suspected tooth crack. Please go to specialist for confirmation and maybe also salivary gland problem" for a whopping $164. Will definitely not return to this clinic.

I have a great experience here (talking 3 years of coming back for my braces) and the doctors and dentist were very professional and friendly. I have no idea why the reviews are so darn bad? I get timely sms reminders and calls from the receptionists and have never walked out feeling dissatisfied with their service.

I had been to Dr. Colin Ong for I was facing headaches due to clenching my teeth in inappropriate way which was a result of malocclusion occurred because of my earlier brace treatment done. All I wanted was to revert my lower arch teeth to its previous position as the specialists back in India had suggested the same explaining that it should resolve my headache problem. Nevertheless, here in Singapore I went to a Oral Maxillofacial surgeon (TMJ Specialist) Dr Shawn Goh in Mount Elizabeth Novena to get clearance for this procedure. He took OPG X-ray and confirmed that my condyles are normal and there was no displacement/degeneration of articular disk and gave a go ahead for the procedure. When I went to Unity for braces consultation with Dr Colin Ong, he was very prejudiced and refused on this treatment even without examining my teeth/jaws. He had his own thoughts and was hell bent on doing the upper arch as well even though my earlier treatment was done only on the lower arch. He didn’t even show pity on my condition since I’m in pain for many years now. After this episode, I decided I will never go to “old” “grumpy” male dentists as they have have been bitterly disappointing for me so far!! Beware of this orthodontist and go at your own risk!!

X-rays, photos and impressions for plaster study models are supposed to help the orthodontist to come up with a personalized, suitable treatment plan for his patients. HOWEVER, I was utterly disappointed to find the orthodontist here at unity didn't make good use of the procedures. I wouldn't have to get my lower braces redone if the orthodontist took better consideration of my condition.

I am so confused and appalled by the reviews i’ve been reading here. I’ve had nothing but great experiences here. I’ve had my teeth scaled, polished, extracted, braces put on... everyone’s really nice, professional and, I really don’t get what else there is to say except, they did their jobs. My teeth’s doing great. My braces are fine. When things get tough, I’ve a bit of wire sticking out, they fix it for me. When I need to make an appointment, they call and remind me and everything goes smoothly. When I go on vacation and miss my monthly’s, they check up on me. It’s really upsetting that after spending so much time and money at this clinic, then see these 1 star reviews. I can’t help but feel like I have to stand up for them.

Albeit the dentists are good, unity dental needs to improve on their registration and appointment systems severely. I had to take morning leave for a dental appointment at 8:30am and was told on the spot that I had made no appointments. After which there was no suggestions besides “wait here lorh, but I cannot confirm how long”. I made an appointment 1 month prior to the date and although I do not blame the nurse, I think they need to fix their SOP. They cannot expect me to wait 3 hours just for a dental scaling and polishing ($70++) I would much rather pay $20 more to go to a private clinic that operates better than this.

I found the experience (my first with NTUC Health Denticare) very reassuring and comforting. Their service was caring and professional. With the modern equipment, thorough preliminary investigation and sensitive touch, their Dental surgeon performed excellent work and advice.
