NTUC Health Senior Day Care - Heartbeat@Bedok (Dementia Care, Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy, Day Care)

I have been in NTUC Health at Bedok Heartbeat Day Care for about 2 years. I am enjoying very minutes of my stay there. The staff there are very professional and understanding. This Bedok Heartbeat DC has been a very memorable and enjoyable DC as compared to my previous stay at the others DC, namely META and THK Day Care center. I would like to specially thank Mr. Chua for his kindness and caring to all the clients here at the DC. I also like to thank Donna and Miggy for their medical and supportive roles in taking care of all the clients' well being. I also want to thank the CIC, Sandy and Anna for their caring and support.

My grandfather (80 y.o with dementia) has been attending day care for about 4 months now. The entire team has been very helpful and patient in taking care of my grandfather who requires more time to process information, especially Nurse Farhannah, Heng, Jasmine and Willy. Although he was initially reluctant, he has grown accustomed to attending daily which provides respite for my family.

My 2 years of experience with the care team for my mum has been very positive as their dedication and sincerity has enabled me and my family to have peace at work. My mum has dementia and had been very reluctant and difficult to manage, but now, she is amenable to attend the activities regularly and often look forward to mealtimes as it suits her taste. A rehab/physio centre, managed by a professional team, is connected to the day care centre which makes it super convenient for my mum's rehab sessions too. There are various touch points available and regular 2-way communication to keep abreast on events and situations. A special shout-out to Mr Chua and Sandy for keeping their team motivated and caring!

My dad looks forward to going to the daycare daily and thoroughly enjoys the activities they have in place for him. the friendly staff also take good care of him and have worked around his needs. Shoutout to Sandy who updates us on the happenings in the centre and with issues pertaining my dad. Special thanks to Jasmine, Jacy, Linda, Vivien, Jennifer, Ong, Willy and Sujatha. To fetch him to n fro the centre. As well as nurses Donna, Apple, Miggy, Hannah and Kim. Who assist him with his medication with a heart full of patience and care. Taking care of my dad was quite a tough job. But you all managed to do it so perfectly! Thank you so much.

My brother who had stroke has been attending daycare at NTUC Health Senior Daycare at Heartbeat@Bedok since 2020. It is his second daycare. I am his caregiver since 2014. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the daycare's manager Miss Sandy for her professionalism and wisdom in managing my brother. I would also like to express my appreciation to daycare personnel Mr Chua, Mr Ong, Mr Heng, Miss Jennifer and Miss Jasmine. They have shown meticulous care towards my brother. They along with Miss Sandy have demonstrated professionalism with a personal touch that are remarkable. I was a preschool teacher and had first hand experience in a job that required meeting the needs of people. It is very challenging hence my sincere appreciation to the staff mentioned and other personnel at the daycare whose names I am unaware of. Your effort is sincerely appreciated. Thank you ??? My husband, Mr Francis Ng, has attended the NTUC Senior Day Care at Bedok Heartbeat in August 2021. My initial concerns were: will Mr Ng adapt, be well taken care of and actively participate in activities and foremost his social interactions and many more. All these concerns were unfounded. The leadership of Sandy Neo and her team is commendable. The management of the centre were very well organised, clean environment, team were very warm and caring staff, good amenities, good quality of meals and most importantly every staff is very attentive to those who needed help. Concern for fall is out of question as staff diligently took great care of clients. Special mention to Miss Sandy for being customers focus. Listen to feedback, assist and resolve client’s concerns. There is feeling of non barrier between Sandy, her team and clients. In addition, I would like to compliment Mr Chua, Mr Ong, Sujatha, Patrick, Jasmine and driver Ah Leng for their dedication, patience, positive and friendly approach. Kudos and keep up the good work!

My brother Allen Lim has been with the Senior Day Care since 2018. He thoroughly enjoyed his stay at the centre and look forward to come to the daycare every day. He enjoyed the activities in the daycare and all his friends especially the friendly staff (Jasmine, Patrick, Donna, Driver Heng and Centre Manager Sandy) who take very good of him. I would like to take this opportunity to show my appreciation to the all the care staff at Heartbeat!

My 96-year old wheelchair-bound mother has been with the NTUC Health Senior Day Care at Heartbeat@Bedok since Oct 2019. Throughout this time, we have nothing but praise for the management team and staff. With the seniors, they are protective, caring and cheerful. With the families, they are helpful, empathetic and accommodative. With the domestic helpers who accompanied the seniors, they are firm and watchful. All this I have personally experienced when I communicated with the team and when I popped in to check on my mother periodically, albeit from a distance as the Centre is strict with visitors to ensure the seniors' safety and health. I have observed the times when the convoy of wheelchairs with their occupants was taken to their transport downstairs at end of day. It was orderly and pleasant. The smiles on the faces of seniors and staff spoke volume. The environment at the Centre is conducive in keeping the seniors alert and engaged. My mother has been a beneficiary, frequently bringing home handicraft she made. Festive occasions were celebrated at the Centre and photos were sent to update me of my mother's time at the Centre. I speak for myself and my family when I say I am truly grateful to the Centre's team of professionals!
